I find myself craving this song at times....needing to hear it. There aren't many songs that you just get that instant craving for, at least for me, but this is one of them. It's so soothing...the bass just makes my body want to rock slowly, like a piece of moss in the ocean.

Very beautiful way of summing it up and I couldn't agree more. Isn't it so perfectly fitting how this song washes over you??

Also, I totally know what you mean about that craving .....it totally reminds me of how I crave the ocean too, needing to be by the waves, feel that mist, hear that sound.....I crave that so much and go to the beach every chance I get. It is the ultimate in relaxation and comfort...as is this gorgeous ass masterpiece of a song.

I'm talkin about feeling this glory LIVE!!

You seriously made some lives far beyond complete. THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!!!! This song live was a million times more gorgeous than I ever thought possible. I'm at a loss for words. It was just too overwhelming. ..still is. Makes me tear up just thinking about it.

when this song was played and I have to say ti was truly an amazing highlight of the show... from the opening notes I went freakin nuts-carzy-excited because I had hoped beyond hope that they would play this song in one of my two concert visits...

This song has a very special place for myself and my wife (girlfriend at the time it first was released) it was just bad luck that my wife came to the Edmonton concert and not the Calgary one... mind you if they had we probably would have made out right there in the aisle... LOL...

maybe it's all for the best.

Incidentally I love the fact that you can take the double meaning out of this... that something so beautiful and touching emotionally could also be interpreted as something completly different.

That's the beauty of Ed and PJ as a whole , as song writers... it what makes them the best damn rock band on the planet... EVER!

Said it before and I'll say it again, this song is one of the FIRST things that enter my mind when I think of the word "gorgeous". Pouring it all out.....what a ride.

I have always loved this song, and I've been in Iraq for the past 11 months, and I'm going home in 4 weeks (finally!!!), and last night, my lovely wife Heidi who never really knew PJ other than Black, Betterman, and Last Kiss until I forced them upon her (hehe), send me an email with just the lyrics for Oceans and added "I love you Matt" after it.

Very hard not to start crying even with 3 other guys around me, this song has instantly just magnified in its meaning to me. There are a couple of other songs that really express what I've gone through, and my love for my wife (You Are is ANOTHER incredible love song, THIN AIR, also not a PJ song, but one I'm sure Eddie would agree on is BARGAIN from the Who).

For a "grunge" band, they have written some of the most beautiful love songs. OK, getting emotional now as Hard to Imagine is on in the background and the "things were different then, all is different now", outro is playing......

That's just beeeeeautiful!!! So glad you're coming home buddy! And amen, to EVERY SINGLE song you said there! Wow! THIN AIR tops the charts for sure. What the band pours out here, OCEANS, is just beyond words. Seriously, the song is sooooo emotional/passionate/romantic/gorgeous.

If ever I DO get married I swear to the PJ gods I will walk down the aisle to this. There's just no other way I'll have it done.

Really...I can't say it enough...one of the most gorgeous things I have ever heard. And the line in my sig floors me everytime...especially in this version....his voice is just drenched in emotion. It's a mystery to the cosmos that this song wasn't on their greatest hits. I can't figure it out for the life of me. It's one of my favorites off of that CD, if not my ultimate favorite.
