I’ll be honest. I’m really tempted for Philly 2 at $340 aisle or $287 middle of a row so I can stop searching for that show.

People blaming Ticketmaster really need to get their head out of the sand.
Ticketmaster is a partner to the band and their management.

We’ve seen for a couple tours now how this game works - patience pays off.  Better, less expensive tickets keep appearing as the show gets closer.  Stop crying about, “ticketmaster found more tickets.”  At this point if you get suckered into premiums at the initial on sale, shame on you.
Not to worry - no tears were shed. Was making light of (hence the ha) that TM continues to play games with the manner in which they sell/release tickets for their shows. Personally, I'm a long-standing believer in the last minute ticket purchase.
It’s not Ticketmaster playing games though - the band/management have lots of input in how these tickets are rolled out.  So it’s Pearl Jam playing games too.

And I don’t begrudge anyone for buying premium tickets.  There’s a cost of sitting for hours on end refreshing for a needle in a hay stack.  Most of the action happens a day or two before the show but not everyone can stomach that uncertainty.

That makes sense to me. Any show at $500 feels like to much FOR ME, but I think for many of us there is probably a point at which it’s no longer worth searching because the tickets are in a “justifiable” price range.

Finally scored Philly night 2 just now. Big thanks to whoever mentioned that discover cards don’t make you enter a verification code. Gotta think that made the difference today.

Have you sold on here before? If not make sure TM has the bank information to pay you once the ticket sells. If that is done then reach out to TM, sometimes the tix get caught in a loop.
  • Anyone get a "Payout on Hold" notice in their TM account after selling tickets on F2F? I have added multiple accounts and Credit Cards, but still see this. Of course I am getting no response from TM help.

Yes, blame is shared, but it's Ticketmaster that came up with this garbage system and the band opted in.

Totally. What would be most justifiable is going back to 3 hour set lists and no repeat set lists with back to back venues.

Expecting a three hour show is not exactly fair to a band in their sixties who prefer not to take an intermission.

if fans really don’t want premium prices , there is a simple solution.  Let’s start a petition to end premium tickets, get 200,000 ten c members to sign on.

but that means a higher face value for future tours, perhaps $250. Is that what we want? Lowers for a sold out philly show for $287 are worth it for fans not wanting to wait and hope. Asking fans not to buy reasonably priced premiums is asking the band to raise future face values. Seems fair to me.

I have an extra pair for Baltimore, Section 110 (not doing a timed drop). May be a good idea to be ready to hit the ol’ F5 between 1-2PM EST 😉

Just as perspective, this year the LV and Baltimore tickets were basically $200 apiece after taxes standard.  Baltimore actually cost me $205 on fan to fan for a standard.  So is $287 really that different?
