WAY too soon to be thinking about 2025. Just saying. Have at it though. =)  My two cents is that the "tours" are based on the festivals. Track festival announcements and then other dates will follow. Hope they come to your area soon as they are in mine this September 2024.
It's not to soon when jeff mentioned london and Berlin for next year.
    Everything else Is guesswork
Yes, it is too soon. That is social media content. Hoping to return means nothing. They (probably management) may be mulling over offers from festivals all over the world for 2025. Once they pick a festival (or two, maybe three), then other dates will follow. If they pick a festival in the UK or Germany then people will complain they should have a more intimate 10C only show. It is all so predictable.
When do they ever play festivals in the uk or Germany?

Hey everyone let's just close this thread.

This cynical shit makes you really horny, doesn't it?
You read that whole conversation and deducted that I was the cynical one?
Yep. Because it repeats itself over and over again in the same way. Someone doesn't share your opinion or has doubts. What follows is this "he has spoken" and "close the topic" nonsense.

I for one is putting a little bit more weight to the X post because it's Jeff's post. I can't see why a short make up tour in Europe next year would be so out of the question?

Taking the question at face value, festivals in the UK I know they have played because I went to them -

    Finsbury Park - 1993
    Reading and Leeds - 2006
Hard Rock Calling - Hyde Park - 2010
Isle of Wight Festival - 2012
British Summer Time - Hyde Park - 2022
Hyde park was more of a headline show. None of the big festivals are hiring pearl jam
Hyde park is absolutely not a headline show. It's a multi-stage all day festival. It's even more of a festival than their recent NOS Alive booking.
    2012 - Manchester (UK) 12 Jun - Manchester (UK) 13 Jun
    2014 - Amsterdam (NL) 16 Jun - Amsterdam (NL) 17 Jun - Leeds (UK) 8 Jul - Milton Keynes (UK) 11 Jul
2017Rio de Janeiro (BR) 21 Mar
    2018 - London (UK) 18 Jun - London (UK) 19 Jun - London (UK) 17 Jul
    2022Vienna (AT) 20 July - Prague (CZ) 22 July - London (UK) 8 Jul - London (UK) 9 Jul
    2024 - Manchester (UK) 25 Jun - London (UK) 29 Jun - Lisbon (PT) 13 Jul

Strongly disagree. Yes it’s an all day festival but I would still call it a headline show.

Not looking to argue here but BST absolutely IS a big festival and they played it only 2 years ago...  OK it does feel like a PJ show similar to the show at MK Bowl, but thats just the format of the festival.  Its a series of one-day mini-festivals (or two-days in some cases like PJ or Bruce) but its still a festival where the headliners are paid to perform same as any other.

Also FWIW it's the only way they get to play in Hyde Park (as others seem to want) and due to it's eclectic lineup it's less likely that PJ will be booked to headline again next year.  Too soon...
Could happen if Bruce plays aswell.
I would think it'll be the o2 next year though
Nothing is impossible, just that BST doesn't tend to repeat headliners so soon and because they also book pop acts and have the luxury of choice it makes it less likely.

O2 agreed.  I know less than nothing about the bands plans but I feel like when they next play in Europe they will go the more traditional route with the festivals in play likely being Werchter and/or Pinkpop, Amsterdam and Italy getting some shows and the London shows at the O2.  I'm hoping the mistake of the last minute switcheroo away from the O2 to the Tottenham stadium has been learned from...

It's got to be a positive sign that a key member of the band has immediately said they would like to make up for cancellations next year.  It shows that the idea is in their minds at least.

However there was some talk that Prague, Vienna and Amsterdam were all missed from this years tour because of insurance clauses from the previous cancellations.  If that was true... and honestly who knows for sure?! ...but if it was, then it could also be true for London and Berlin and so it is very possible that the idea of makeup shows just won't fly.

    Agreed, it's not a festival.
But it's probably the only chance to see the band outside in the uk now and I'd love them to repeat 2022

And it was the member of the band who is on record as saying he’s not a big fan of touring. So I do take it as a positive sign if Jeff is already on board with another tour next year.

That was my view as well. I do have an instinct that EV and JA have a larger say than the others when deciding future plans.

I bet they already have a road map of the next couple of years with tours. If they are knowingly coming back to Europe they would have postponed the shows like they did with Indy. Sure Jeff said something along the lines of hoping to comeback next year but I just can’t see Europe 2 years in a row especially with the sales they had.

    Maybe I am wrong….

They haven’t played near me in a dozen years, this is the time to dream. The cold water of reality will hit me (and a bunch of other great overdue cities) soon enough. Let us pretend while we can.

Barking up the right tree.......but unlikely the next two years are planned unless the band wants to play somewhere specific.  Management is likely exploring festival options for next year, as it is those shows which pay the big bucks. Then they will work in dates around whichever festivals they choose to play. Of course that is just speculation on my part, but the paydays from a festival performance are to big for the band to ignore. And, like, that is my opinion man.

Ya I don’t think things are planned just penciled in for now.

They seem to be planning ahead the last couple of years way more than they did in the past. 2022-24 we knew the dates well in advance. 2020 spring shows were thrown together last minute it seemed.

The wierd this is that you'd probably rather they didn't tour next year just to be right.
