They don‘t want to. This European tour has done more damage to the fanbase than to Ed‘s voice. Everything was cursed and fucked up from the very beginning.
Theres no postponement for 2025 because there’s a good chance Europe won’t get PJ again until 2027/2028 based on how the band is operating now
But they don‘t care. I get it.Sort of. I agree, I would never cancel due to illness. That being said, the Platinum ticket thing is having a really big impact. They block off swathes of the best tickets for platinum, push 10c members further back, then the platinum tickets don't sell, and they get sold for face value or cheaper to the general public. It's not great. It's causing many fans to play the upgrade game, and they don't end up using their 10c tickets. I can see why fans would stop, when they can get better tickets when TM drops the ones they couldn't sell for platinum later on.I'll keep mine because I have an older membership that still gets decent tickets, but my spouse and friends that have newer memberships. They rarely use their 10c tickets, and will most likely cancel. You don't get much else for the $35usd/year.I also think the cancelling the show thing has a bigger impact. They're struggling to complete tours without cancelling dates. They aren't the only band to have this problem in the post covid world. That being said, if you're shelling out a bunch of travel money to go see a band play somewhere, and it gets cancelled, it sucks. If this is the new normal, I could see it slowing down the number of fans that travel to shows (at least further away than they can drive). Given that PJ tours are smaller and not expansive, it's probably going to lead to cancellations, because if you're not willing to travel, you might not need a 10c membership.I hope the band is ok, resumes the tour, and wraps it up in an epic manor.I will absolutely go whenever they play in Vancouver and/or Seattle againPost edited by Zod on0 -

Barcelona ticket sale has been even worse than Berlin. Let's wait and see what happens by Wednesday. My guess is Barcelona will be cancelled as well.0 -

The band appears to have made streams of shows so far available for free via TM for those who attended..Could be coincidence, or it could be a mea culpa to the fan base.Seattle 8-8-18

the band is already there. they aren't cancelling because of low tickets. that's absurd. it would cost them more money to cancel than to play to a half empty arena. I don't know why everyone keeps talking about ticket sales. If that was it, they would have cancelled the entire EU tour and not had them and all their crew travel and stay in hotels.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0

My god, when did we become so obsessed with personal persecution conspiracies? Shit happens. Shit has always happened, and shit will continue to happen.
The world isn’t out to get you. Stop believing the dumbest people on the planet. You know, the ones with podcasts and twitter feeds that are full of hot garbage designed to get you to “think”. We truly live in the dumbest times.
I can’t remember the quote, but it goes something along the lines of you should never believe anyone who is trying to tell you something you wouldn’t believe.Seattle 8-8-18

If the venue sells 100 tickets or 50,000 tickets, the band itself makes the same amount of money.Come to send, not condescend...0

Every day is is one more day that Eddie wakes up and hopefully is feeling much better than the day before. For his sake and our sake.0

True to a point, they probably get a flat fee plus profit sharing of the dynamic/platinum pricing. At MSG they probably walk with more than their fee vs. shows that do not sell well. I am just guessing, but it is probably the reason they signed off on it and let the good seats be sold at the platinum level rather than going to the 10C.0 -
