I have a few pages of comments to catch up on but as critical as I've been about the number of repeats in a 2 night run, constructing a set of 8 or whatever Dark Matter songs and then their 17 or so most popular songs is fun as hell. If you told me no more than 2 repeats and one Fenway night was front to back hits I would say hell yeah bring it on.
Edit: 6 DM songs. Still cool.Post edited by pjl44 on0

To each their own and if I didn't travel, this would be a fine setlist, but I can't say I wouldn't be disappointed had I spent money on travel and got this setlist.0

You guys have all seen too many shows recently if you're complaining about that setlist.Come to send, not condescend...0

FFS, some of you!!! It’s Pearl Jam, a 33 1/2 year old band, one of, if not THE best to ever do it, playing their asses off, and you bitch bitch bitch. SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT UP0
-
I actually don’t have a ton of problem with the set. I will say the encores so far this tour have had a weird flow to them.0

It's a tough one. Ride the wave of crowd interaction and crowd energy with adding another hit, or kill the mood with a song like let's say Infallible or Got Some.
 Want proof?
LA night 1, a colossal dip in crowd energy which is even audible on the bootleg, when they played Got Some.
But good for them to switch up Dark Matter a bit more on tour. The album did not as well in Europe as it did in the US. Haven't played Dublin in more than 10 years probably was a factor, as well.Post edited by marumaruko on------------------------------

The good news for everyone turning their noses up at this setlist: PJ only has so many years left in them (if many at all) so your suffering will end more sooner than later. Ts & Ps until then.
Last night was a great night…. Can’t wait for Manchester.0

It felt like a festival set list but I enjoyed it, so did most people around me and the new material is great live.
I hope they play Lost Dogs front to back in London just to piss off all the negative vibe merchants!! If you liked the setlist and enjoyed the show, that is fantastic. This forum is for expressing preferences and opinions and as long as people are doing it in a respectful way there should be no issue, but to tell people to shut up because you disagree with their opinion is just poor form.Haijay said:FFS, some of you!!! I'm one of the few who hopes for Got To Give at every remaining European show. This song has so much potential. Carries a perfect summer open air vibe, too.
They are promoting it, as well, with the recent sportsnet hockey snippet.------------------------------

Whiniest fanbase in all of music. Sweet Jesus can you be more miserable?0

I think the reason there is some negativity is because the US leg setlists were so good. A really good balance. So there's perhaps a bit of disappointment that they've thrown that out of the window for the euro tour. Tho it may just be for the larger shows, so we'll see.0
-

I'll concede that point. It was a shame too, because that song is a banger.marumaruko said:It's a tough one. Ride the wave of crowd interaction and crowd energy with adding another hit, or kill the mood with a song like let's say Infallible or Got Some.

Milton Keynes had its fair share of deep cuts tbf. And that was a sizeable outdoor show.Weston1283 said:I wonder if someone could do the math and correlate venue size with greatest hits

Wrigley and Fenway are both 40k and I don't remember those as being particularly hit forwardWeston1283 said:I wonder if someone could do the math and correlate venue size with greatest hits
