  • I would personally like to thank the douchebags in the upper balcony who repeatedly yelled "PLAY SMILE!!!!" about 55 times throughout the show, as well as the chorus of 3 or 4 who yelled "FOOTSTEPS".

Play Smile, you've got to be kidding me.

The folks who yelled Footsteps were quieted down by those supporters who kindly asked them to shut the fuck up. What i don't get is that, you say go see a play on Broadway, or some sort of play. You don't stand up and scream "DO A LINE FROM ACT 3, SCENE 2!!!! Granted it is a rock show, but a performance that's meant to be quite a different experience. I guess there will always be "that guy".

    - Totally agree....Eddie could have sat there and babbled a bunch of nonsense and it would've been great. I wanted to get in a fist fight with that guy....he was right behind me. Why would you pay all that money just to act like an asshole, piss everybody off around you including Eddie, and not even listen to what he had to say???

..I'm finally allowed back on. So no, no show at Dobbs. Yes, this show was awesome. Who ever the girl that sat next to me and my buddy in row G about seat 113(?) I have to thank for the Sniper playbill. If you're on here, I appreciate it since I guess I missed getting one in the way in. Also, I personally think the "Shh"-ers were more annoying than the yellers. I liked shh-ing everyone around us randomly because of how ridiculously funny it was all toked up. And to those who told me you HAVE to check out Liam Finn were absolutely right. Thank you! After smoking that bone in the parking garage across the street and walking in on that set was unreal. During that one song where he was using the - i forget what it's called (musical instrument thats really an antenna that you put your hand near to make "eerie" sounds) - was unreal all toked up. Just bought I'll Be Lightning yesterday, and if I wasn't going to MMJ on the 5th I'd be at the World Cafe for his show. It was pretty awesome.

Its called a theremin, created by Leo Theremin. Liam's looked vintage, bright red, with three black dials on the side. The antennae in the middle had a red sphere at the top. It looked like some video game joystick from decades ago. Awesome. Check out his Youtube videos, especially the performance on Letterman where he loops his guitars and rocks it out on drums. Kick ass stuff.

As always, Eddie introduces us into yet another amazing artist.
I might be able to get to an E-bow.
  • Yeah another 10c member gave me his sniper playbill as well. I didn't have one and i asked to look at his, and he told me that the door greeter people were handing them out earlier, but they were out now. I looked at it and gave it back to him, and at the end of the show he ended up giving it to me (telling me that he was coming back for the second night, so he would just get another) Thank you guy in row ZZ If you're here :D

Alright....so.... does anyone got it? If so PM me.
  • Is there any news on the video footage that was shot?
Will there be an officialy released dvd?

btw, killer artwork, brilliant, realistic enough to know who and what it is and artistic enough to catch the unique vibe at the gigs
  • Does anyone remeber that funny irish sounding version of Elderly Woman that played just before Eddie took the stage? I started sining along to it then realized something wasn't quite right, lol. Does anyone know what was up w\that?

I don't, but I LOVED how he came out on the "hello." I knew he would, and it was awesome!

  • Yea, me too!
  • I have been listening to Pearl Jam for years but the impact of their genius only hit me this summer at the Columbia, SC concert. Then I saw EV in Washington DC (first concert) and am officially hooked.

As a newcomer to this music I have a question. Before Ed'd last encore in DC he did a song - no instruments but used some technology where he would record a few lines of singing then play it back and add more lines to the song/tune. All notes - no words.

This blew me away and by the end I had tears in my eyes it was so beautiful.

Can anyone help me learn more about the song (Arc?) , the technology, and if this is recorded anywhere?

    Thanks so much.

Arc is actually on Roit Act, but it isn't like the one he did on his solo tour. On Riot Act the song opens AFTER he has already looped his voice several times. I'm not really sure about the technology. I am DYING to hear the solo tour version again! Gave me chills, it was hauntingly beautiful...very powerful.
