    My kid had 2 bouts with this so far. Alot kids in my neighborhood steal for necessity. She's currently using her cc, so the threats of not travelling to Au/Nz are working.

    The owners today said they have always resisted putting up cameras but one of them said in a sad voice, "We may have to .  Times have changed."

    Put CDs behind counter and empty cases in the bins.

    Still low though, u have to steal a CD?

    Same, Lululemon here. So many dt storefronts getting windows smashed.

    When I was 12 I shoplifted baseball cards and got caught. Other than shooting out a neighbor's sliding glass door windows with a pellet gun at age 10, that's the extent of my trouble with the law.

    Trouble with the law and getting caught is different than robbing places and not getting caught, lol.

    My only crime (somewhere around 1973) was stealing a few bales of broken down cardboard from behind a grocery store .  A friend of mine convinced young and gullible me that we would be doing them a favor by hauling it off, and we could get beer money for it from the recycling center.   I actually had to go into the station and talk to a detective and then go to court.  I was mercifully let off with with a stern warning and a load of utter and complete humiliation.
