i honestly can't believe what this has evolved into in the year 2024. it blows my mind this entire process and the prices. so glad i have hundreds and hundreds of concerts under my belt at this point and don't have to deal with this constantly. I feel bad for young people trying to see legends nowadays and build up a concert resume. even if they could afford it, you have to be lucky like 5 different times to even TRY for tickets. what a world.Van '98, Sea I+II '00, Sea '01, Sea II '02, Van '03, Gorge, Van, Cal, Edm '05, Bos I+II, Phi I+II, DC, SF II+III, Port, Gorge I+II '06, DC, NY I+II '08, Sea I+II, Van, Ridge , LA III+IV' 09, Indy '10, Cal, Van '11, Lond, Van, Sea '13, Memphis '14, RRHOF '17, Sea I+II '18, Van I+II, Vegas I+II, Sea I+II '240

Got a pair in section 109 for MSG 2. Got into waiting room 15 mins early. My code didn’t work at first but finally got in after entering it again. Selected many tickets but always said tickets have already been purchased. After 15 minutes of this I finally got through To checkout page. Persistence worked. Couldn’t believe it.

I got through the mbl site. It took me a couple times but got tickets for 207. I dont understand why ticketmaster prices are really high yet mlb site is normal ticket prices with a lot more available? can someone explain?0

So my code did not work, but i think it was because i did not register for PJ Premium and that was all that was left when i got in. Not sure if that is the reason but i think it was.Eddieredder said:

Get a "Session timed out" for Wrigley after 25 minutes plus the 10 min before. Wonderful!
Don't worry I could see the Premium seats for 1100 behind the pit and $450 on in the nosebleeds on TM. Nice work PJ and enjoy the cash!Nashville '00

Young people pay the exorbitant prices because that's all they know. They really don't think anything of it. They just think that's the price of going to a show.restlesssoul said:i honestly can't believe what this has evolved into in the year 2024. it blows my mind this entire process and the prices. so glad i have hundreds and hundreds of concerts under my belt at this point and don't have to deal with this constantly. There is no separate registration for F2F it will open up I assume sometime in March, it is just the ticketmaster website. You can just filter to face value tickets and keep refreshing. Persistence and patience pays off. I was able to upgrade all 4 of my TX shows last year to pit/floor/or very close side stage. I am hopeful Vegas and Boston I can do the same. MSG1 is going to be rough though.BLACK35 said:
Ya I got thru in about 5 mins. I was 1660 when I was out in Q. Hope there wasn’t a separate registration for F2F or I missed that too. Prolly my luckSugarloafer04 said:
yea I got a Vegas 1 code, although won a pair through the 10C lottery in the lower bowl already. Logged in early, had about 750 people ahead of me, got in in about 5 minutes. Not a lot of face value tickets in the lower bowl, lots of premiums and floor premiums were going for $800. Limited view side stage peaked my interest briefly but just chose to X out of the browser, they were going quick. I'll try my luck at upgrading once F2F opens.BLACK35 said:Got thru and Vegas and gave up, all lower bowl
stuff was premium seating and other than it was upper bowl. My bad I guess I thought all seats were going to be face value. Guess I’ll try F2F2016: Telluride, CO

Keep trying. Last time I bought tickets for Wrigley for a different concert, there were lots of tickets available like 45 minutes into the sale. They let people trickle in so the site doesnt crash.Vedder4Prez said:Get a "Session timed out" for Wrigley after 25 minutes plus the 10 min before. Wonderful!

Yes Yankee Stadium does concerts. I think Citifield has more concerts though. MetLife is not really good for concerts. It's fine but sometimes the sound is not great. GnR had the worse sound.Vedd Hedd said:
Yeah, does Yankee Stadium do concerts?AlaG said:
In their defense playing two shows at Fenway alleviates that by being over 5x the capacity of two shows at MSG. Really don't understand why they don't play any larger venues that exist in NYC besides Ed clearly likes MSG.Lerxst1992 said:had had a $700 lower in my cart for msg and was tempted but just out of my commit now range, knowing Stu. Hub will be much more til minutes before show.
it stinks that they refuse to play number of shows to match NE demand, they know and charge market prices yet do nothing about it. Seven shows is most in NE since 2013 and demand is quadruple here vs anywhere else
Would people be happier with MetLife over MSG?I miss igotid880

a kid today making minimum wage would have to work 60 hours for an MSG Premium single seat. That's over half an entire PAYCHECK, not half a shift.

My partner got off the waitlist for Philly 2,just premiums and face value tix for last rows in the corner of the 200s behind the stage. No thanks. I'm just gonna be happy with Baltimore and if some Philly tix happen to land later this year, bonus. Not worth the extra money when I saw two last year and have another lined up where I can sleep at home. Hope everyone eventually gets what they want.

Well...if you look at acts that are actually popular with kids, the prices are in the 100s generally and not the 500s but it is still insane.restlesssoul said:

My bro and I completely shut out in Seattle... 10c since '96 and he's a Kraken season ticket holder. Also grossed out by what's become standard TM pricing strategy here, gradually making more and more rows available, pricing each new drop at the super premium price point. They sucker people into paying stupid prices by artificially constraining supply and making it continually appear that only a few seats are left. It totally makes sense from a sales and marketing perspective; it's just really sad that this is what buying concert tickets has devolved into.10/7/96 (FL), 9/22/98 (FL), 9/23/98 (FL), 8/9/00 (FL), 8/10/00 (FL), 8/12/00 (FL), 4/11/03 (FL), 4/12/03 (FL), 4/13/03 (FL), 7/8/03 (NY), 7/9/03 (NY), 7/12/03 (PA), 7/14/03 (NJ), 10/8/04 (FL), 8/5/07 (IL), 11/27/12 (FL), 12/6/13 (WA), 4/8/16 (FL), 4/9/16 (FL), 4/11/16 (FL), 8/5/16 (MA), 8/22/16 (IL), 8/8/18 (WA), 8/10/18 (WA), 9/25/21 (CA), 9/26/21 (CA), 5/3/22 (CA), 5/12/22 (CA), 5/13/22 (CA), 9/18/23 (TX), 9/19/23 (TX), 10/23/23 (WA), 10/24/23 (WA), 5/28/24 (WA), 5/30/24 (WA), 4/24/25 (FL), 4/26/25 (FL), 4/29/25 (GA), 5/1/25 (GA) 0

Indeed. I know that artists make way less from album/song sales than ever. People arent buying albums anymore, and streaming does not pay them much. So, concert tix go up as a result. And when 1 goes up, they all go up.restlesssoul said:

Agreed. I skip shows all the time now because I don't want to pay the prices. I've seen everybody good many times. I still see local shows and lots of jazz shows, all for less than $50 a pop, usually $30 a pop. There is not band that I'd pay $200 or more to sit in upper deck seats in an arena or stadium. I have little FOMO or need for nostalgia, so that helps. But younger folks are screwed for sure. I did get GA for the show I want that was almost $200 a piece which is the most I've ever paid for any concert. But at least they are great seats so I don't mind. I'd skip PJ if I was in the back of the arena for that amount.restlesssoul said:i honestly can't believe what this has evolved into in the year 2024. it blows my mind this entire process and the prices. so glad i have hundreds and hundreds of concerts under my belt at this point and don't have to deal with this constantly. They are relying on the fact that Pearl Jam fans can have deep pockets and that someone will pay that premium ticket just to be inside the venue. This is me for LA night one. But unless I can get a Vegas night 2 ticket for less than $200, I will miss that show.EH14457 said:My bro and I completely shut out in Seattle... 10c since '96 and he's a Kraken season ticket holder.
