  • P1 for night 1 and GA for night 2.  Staying at NYNY.  We like MGM properties.  Our favorites are the Park and Aria, but we got a better deal at NYNY.  They just remodeled their rooms so we wanted to check them out.  Wherever you stay make sure you sign up for a rewards card.

We got both nights, P1 and we are staying at the Park MGM.  Looking forward to the trip!  Just our second time in Vegas and the last time was for PJ in 2003.

Great tip on rewards cards. With the cost of things in Vegas, points add up quick. Get a rewards card. Book direct with properties, and charge what you can to your room. Want even more points? Get the credit card too. It also helps if you gamble.

I generally don't pay for rooms in Vegas doing this. Being a big weekend, I've got a room at MGM for $177 night.

    Both nights GA
    staying at my house

Cheap hotels would be OYO (old Hooters) Excalibur, Luxor. Tropicana is closing in April to be demolished for the new MLB stadium so that won’t be an option. As stated it’s EDC weekend. 100,000+ party at Nascar track, Sunset to Sunrise. Hotels should be high $$$. Book your rooms now, then be sure to check often especially closer to that weekend. Cancel and rebook if you see something. F1 and Super Bowl prices dropped significantly week prior to event.
I believe Excalibur just did room remodels. Luxor is pretty old and dated, but the tower rooms have always been nice in my experience.

Not a camper but this is a great tip.

For any non-campers: Henderson is a really safe city and cheaper. I moved my Saturday hotel to Henderson.  If you time your uber ride to avoid peak hours, or drive, it's a pretty easy 20 minute trip in and out of LV. So if you are more budgeted Henderson isn't the worst option for a 15mile trip to the strip.

I saved $250 moving my Saturday hotel to Henderson.

    GA Standing both nights.

Staying at home (Henderson - suburb).

teskeinc gave the best advice to you guys staying in hotels. Many do not realize prices in Vegas can fluctuate dramatically. Book now so you have a room; but check back every few days (without logging into your account) from 6 weeks out until the cancellation deadline. If something better pops up, book it and cancel original. This advice comes from over 30yrs of working at resorts on the strip.
