I would think the odds of getting tix to your top shows took a hit with this switch up0

People still got shut out, while others had multiple requests fulfilled. I think the priorities were giving people false hope. It's a lottery, therefore a crapshoot.Randall's Island 9/29/96, Continental Arena 9/8/98, MSG 9/10/98, Jones Beach 8/23/00, 8/24/00, 8/25/00, Nassau Coliseum 4/30/03, MSG 7/8/03, 7/9/03, Continental Arena 6/1/06, 6/3/06, MSG 6/24/08, 6/25/08, Spectrum 10/30/09, 10/31/09, MSG 5/20/10, 5/21/10, PJ20 9/3/11, 9/4/11, Charlottesville 10/29/13, Charlotte 10/30/13, Global Citizen 9/26/15, Raleigh 4/20/16 Baltimore 3/28/20 Austin 9/18/23, 9/19/23, Forum 5/21/24, Baltimore 9/12/24, Fenway 9/17/24, Nashville 5/6/25, 5/8/250

What is the significance of your member number? I am new and have a very high member number. Does that matter?0
-
It doesn't matter in terms of your chances of getting picked for the lottery. However, if you get picked for reserved seats it will determine where you are seated. You will be seated behind everyone with a lower member number than you have.joemattinglyjr said:What is the significance of your member number? I am new and have a very high member number. It doesn’t matter for the initial lottery but if you’re selected for tickets then seniority comes into play to determine seat locationjoemattinglyjr said:What is the significance of your member number? I am new and have a very high member number. Does that matter?0 -
Seems like Ticketmaster couldn't handle it so they just got rid of it. Sucks. It really shouldn't be that hard.

I know there were some glitches. But don't underestimate human error and our inability to follow simple directions. I imagine the number of people who were shut out because they did something incorrectly was high.spankyMP said:People still got shut out, while others had multiple requests fulfilled. I agree I think TM couldn’t accommodate priority into their algorithm. Hard to rationalize.0

I agree with you that the odds of getting tickets to your top shows probably took a big hit. Now you don’t even get to specify your top “show(s)”- it’s totally random. Since it appears that each show will now have a totally separate lottery with no priority taken into account, theoretically someone could put in for 20 shows and get all 20 (and even get GA for all 20), while someone else who only puts in for one show could get shut out entirely. I would hope that behinds the scenes 10c is doing something to try to ensure some equity in the process (e.g., limits on how many GAs or total shows one person can win), but if it is truly a totally randomized lottery for each show, it doesn’t sound like that’s the case.mookieb14 said:I would think the odds of getting tix to your top shows took a hit with this switch up0 -
This 1000% based on all of the questions every time the lottery comes around.mace1229 said:

Super annoyed we can't prioritize our picks anymore. Like, how hard would that be to keep? It was there in 2020 and last year.NYPJ0

Definitely agree. Granted, when a tour is announced there are multiple emails, PJ news posts and at least two presale options for 10c members (10c & Verified Fan), yet the same questions pop up from the past 3-4 years of touring. Seems like it could be more consolidated to a single source of truth, but most of us typically freak out and miss details regardless.jwhjr17 said:

Best bets on any sale is to allow the announcement to happen, give yourself a few hours to let the links and sites fix any errors or loading issues, and consider options before jumping on and submitting something before you know what your plan is. I'm guessing more than a few people lost entries for shows after updating their request with a new one.0 -
Oh, I certainly do not underestimate it LOL, but I was shut out of a couple of legs with shows prioritized, all ducks in a row etc, and 30 years experience F5ing and reading all instructions inside and out.mace1229 said:

I find this odd, because my fan club tickets for U2 at the Sphere used the same TM system. It means TM can handle it. It was so much better.mattcoz said:Seems like Ticketmaster couldn't handle it so they just got rid of it. Sucks. It really shouldn't be that hard.
You could choose your priority dates, then you could specifically choose the sections you were interested in getting tickets in. Then they ran the lotto. It was kind of basic, but worked amazingly well. We chose GA, level 200 and level 300 (skipped asking for level 100 because of the overhang problem). Got GA for the first priority.
Actually now that I type that out, I must not of been able to buy more than one pair to one show or I would of ended up with two pairs. Maybe that's why it works better
That being said it did have priority, so it's still a thing for other bands.

That has always happened, maybe not to that extreme, but it always has and will continue to happen. I had always been pretty fortunate in the lottery, not always winning, but pretty successful. Then a couple legs or so in a row (maybe 2018 and 2022) I got nothing, so last leg I put in for 5 shows because I hadn't seen them since 2015 and was determined to see them somewhere, anywhere. I ended up getting all 5 shows and decided to go to Austin.steven87 said:
