    Maybe they just decided to make it like a lottery, and give every entry into each show the same weight.  Then sort it out after the logarithm has a chance to do its thing.  Pretty fair thing to do from my standpoint.  Seniority once you win the lottery, but just an average joe until then.  Sucks for the 30 year people, but it seems like Pearl Jam has finally gotten to the point that Fair is Fair, even if it is unfair to some people...like usual.

    I think your misunderstanding.  This was never the seniority bit.  For the last # of tours, you would pick the shows you want to go in order of preference.  That way people had higher odds of getting their first picks, but would only (theoretically) get 2nd picks if there were enough tickets to provide them.

    The goal was to ensure everyone (regardless of seniority) had a higher chance of at least getting tickets to at least one show.  It wasn't perfect, there were glitches, nuances, but overall it mostly did what it was supposed to do.

    Without priority I think it's less fair.  Your going to increase the # of people that gets lots of tickets, and the people that get zero.
