    I don’t get all the complaints.  These guys are in their fourth decade as a band, still going strong, about to announce their biggest tour in years, a new album (granted, I’d rather it not be a new album tour), and they played a silly game with the fan club email today. So what.  It’s cool they still exist and we can go see them this year.

    I don't think it was lazy. I think it was misguided. I think they got sold on a marketing presentation that over promised what it could deliver. This is kind of a lame launch that could have been more, but I don't think lack of effort is the reason why.

    We pay a premium fee every year and don’t get much in return without having to fork out more money, except a monthly newsletter and we didn’t even get that. I’m sure Tuesday will be a great day of announcements, but give us something on the tenth.

    If we get a new album to stream on Tuesday...yay and good job 10club.

    New single on Tuesday....marketing flop. No need for a tease [private listening party anounced publicly] on top of a tease [instagram post] on top of a tease [newsletter] . All for a new single

    All true except that todays email was a swing and miss.

    You realize that new single is off an album though right? The album announcement IS a big deal in and of itself.

    So we’ve got 10 pages of nonsense in 5 hours and folks are calling this a fail? Seems like a win to me. Got all us old folks crying, all the youngsters laughing at us and a Rick roll mention. I’m still “new” to the club here but I’ve been chuckling all afternoon reading comments. Thank you

    Doubt Pearl Jam or the Tenclub wanted pages filled with nonsense.

    Bewilderment is not the desired outcome of marketing. A win would hsve been 30-50 pages, and mainstream coverage.
