It was mindblowing in 2001 when I for the first time saw NEW SCENES for MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME?!?!? I had not known about the SE-cut and didn't really think about deleted scenes and stuff before DVD came.CarryTheZero said:Love it too. Huge fan. Inadvertently watched the special edition. So weird seeing some of the extra scenes. Don’t think it made it a better movie. Mostly dialogue between John and the T-800 where he’s teaching him to be human. Also the Michael Biehn scene and terminator surgery.
This was the first DVD I ever bought, and got a region free DVD player for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HX2JivwIeC0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HX2JivwIeC0
But the theatrical cut is the one to see. All day everyday. I'm turning 40 this year, and my birthday gift to myself is to finally catch Terminator 2 on 35 (or 70)mm wherever it may play. So a trip somewhere (in Europe hopefully) if I catch news of it being shown, is my plan. Would mostly love to watch a swedish theatrical copy with vintage 1991 subtitles, but impossible to make that happen.

Re-watched Spielbergs Munich yesterday, and I don't know if it is even covered in the book it is based on (?) - but it's a bit off that the Lillehammer incident that ended the "mission" isn't covered, where Mossad went to Norway and shot an innocent married waiter.
Story-wise, I don't see how a writer wouldn't put it as the third act finale with them wanting to have Eric Banas character in the end "disillusioned" about what they had done? It's in line with going after the "main badguy" they keep referencing, because that's the guy Mossad went to Norway to kill. I wonder if it was included in any of the three original scripts written. But if it isn't in the book, it was logically never considered to be a part of the story. But still weird that bit is "completely" removed from the narrative.

I’ll need to read the book for Munich. That movie is good. Crazy that Jason Statham shows up for like 30 seconds. That’s a great cast.0

Still need to watch this. They filmed this in Georgia where my mom lives. I actually had to meet with their set location scouts as they wanted to use my mom’s house for Cranston and Benning’s home. They eventually went with the house across the street. Probably a good thing. It looked pretty invasive for about 2-3 weeks!JeBurkhardt said:We watched this last night.
My sister caught a view of Cranston on the front porch late one night while they were filming.0

Yes. it would give Judd Apattow-characters less action if it ended with that fuck up.Gern Blansten said:

Would be an interesting movie initself. Will have to check out and see if the norweigans has made a movie about it.
By the way, the assassination on the boat in Holland in the film is one of the scariest things I’ve seen. I watched about 30 minutes or so of Dark Places. Didn't catch the beginning and trust me I happened upon the exact wrong spot to start that movie.

Luckily, Mullholand Drive is also showing here in Gothenburg. When it comes to the Carpenter films, only Escape from NY and Prince of Darkness. But that is also cool. But is it The Thing cool? No.23scidoo said:

I think The Thing is also a cool film SC..I can't say the same for Barry Lyndon, one of his weakest work..Spiritual_Chaos said:
