I like it better than their last one. my criticism of the last one was they didn't deviate from the "two man band" formula. This one takes some risks.
I've seen them live twice. Both times, very bombastic, acting like they are the best band in the world. I get it. A lot of their crowd are Even Bros. So it's on point to act like egotistical dicks. But it just wasn't my bag. Performances were really tight though.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
The times I have seen them they were great. Big sound coming from the duo, which I liked. Listening to the albums though got me wanting more as in more than a bass and a drum kit, so I will check this out then! They opened for Foos, QOTSA and on their own at a club
And yes, the drummer was super macho, drinking a bottle of tequila the whole show. Was a little cheese. But I enjoyed all 3 show

Jason Isbells 10yr anniversary box set of Southeastern. Includes remastered album, demo cuts, and a live version of the album from Bijou Theater in Knoxville 2022 (I was lucky enough to attend 1 of the two performances). Amazing box.

Latest order from AS arrived today. Couldn’t be happier! 🤤

One of the finest hardcore records ever made. Not necessarily the rarest record, but I’ve never seen one in the wild in 40 years let alone an unplayed copy. A great score.

I ordered the Elephant but then canceled it because I have the 2013 analog version and it's good. Also have the mono but that's less impressive. But now the reviews are so good I'm thinking about getting it again.onejourney... said:Latest order from AS arrived today. Couldn’t be happier! 🤤
Do you have the 2013v analog and do you hear a big difference? Also, was the sibilance on Pocket resolved?0 -
Spin it silly. I never heard of them (add it to the list). Keep rocking. NYHC was my thing when I was knee high to a grasshopper...Guy Dudebro said:

Im convinced this is as good as this album can sound, although I don't have the 2013 to compare. On my system sibilance is non existent or so minimal that I can't even tell. And I do have albums where I can tell if it's present.mrussel1 said:

All in all, this will probably be the definitive vinyl version. If you're at all interested I don't think you'll be disappointed.here for the music...0 -

Great stuff there! Here are three that showed up this week:Phil Woods, Right of Swing
Wayne Shorter, Speak No Evil
Arthur Blythe Light Blue
The Blythe is a trip. Instead of a more traditional jazz quintet is Blythe on Alto sax and a viola player, guitarist, drummer, tuba player doing Thelonious Monk cover. Cool!

I have, sounds great! My vinyl is flat, and quiet. Not audiophile quality, but good enough. I love the packaging and record sleeves.
