Right and I get that the last 30 years are as impressive as anything…not necessarily the championships but the consistency and the ability to avoid seasons like this, but I think the issue is that everyone saw this comingxavier mcdaniel said:
All accurate, except for the historically bad part. 1990 is historically bad. It's historically bad in the context of what the seasons have looked like since 1992 but not historically bad unless they somehow lose at least 30 of their final 42 games.Cliffy6745 said:

If you were telling me that Gleyber Torres would be the best hitter this year and the rest of the team would perform only half as well as the year before I would have bet that you were out to lunch.Cliffy6745 said:

This is like when I was watching the Marlins the past few years and they were already losing before they got to batI miss igotid880

Except the marlins finished 24 and 28 games below 500. Yanks are 1 game below. The love he receives is the love that is saved0

Honestly, I have no idea looking at that dogshit lineup and what Shallow Hal and Mr. Hankey are paying for it how Cashman is still employed.
2nd highest payroll behind the Mets entering the season. At least Mets were smart enough to see the writing on the wall and dumped a ton of salary at the deadline.
100-win season, however, is still on the table. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
Oopsie, 0-3 with 3 strike outs (and a walk!!!), sub-Mendoza again for Mike.Wobbie said:

They sure turned it around.
2 hits for that dogshit nearly 300Mil lineup against a stiff and 2 relievers.
And their ace gives up a grand slam to some little leaguer who's hitting .186 that the Sox bought off the scrap heap from the Brewers. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
