    Friggin' whine festival. Literally every other team in the world has bad seasons. Even the Canadiens, Lakers & Celtics. FFS Juventus was crappy in Serie A the past couple years.

    So I'm reading that "The Last Boy" book about Mickey Mantle. Somewhere in there a few of them driving home to Oklahoma after the season ended and some country song about a guy who ran over his kid was on the radio and they're all crying and one of 'em says "turn off this fucking song".

    Retired Mickey said Steinbrenner gave Yogi Berra a million dollar contract, $1 a year for a million years.

    And I forgot Yogi's Yogi-ism about Mickey's switch hitting - that he was perfectly amphibious.
