Agreed on stage setup too, everyone could see easily and he did a good job moving around all 4 sides. Metallica was the only other band I have been to that does it, works nicely
I know right? It seems like a no brainer. And yeah moving around each verse was awesome. We were on the floor so we’re super close for 1/4 of the show.

Your seats looks close to where we were. I was in 121 for the Monday show. Place was absolutely rocking. Maybe one of the loudest shows I’ve been at.

Enjoyed it so much I ended up doing Pit last night.

Yep, one section over in 122! How different was the setlist last night?

I was considering doing the same, but going to Rival Sons tonight so I took last night off to take care of life stuff ha

It was pretty close to the same. I think there was 3 or 4 songs swapped. I thought it was louder N1 honestly. Especially with those Braves chants haha.

Zach is back with another new album. This guy has put out a crazy amount of music in the last 18 months. And sounds like a quick follow for more tracks. Maybe an EP like last years summertime blues. He has become my favorite artist over the last few years. Saw him twice live this summer and the crowd involvement is insane.

What an incredible album. He continues to amaze with his song writing. This one is not as polished as American heartbreak or summertime blues and that seems very intentional. He continues to expand his sound. He still stays faithful to his roots but brings in elements from many of his other musical influences. His lyrics just hit so hard. Also loving the collaborations in this one. ‘Hey driver’ with war and treaty, ‘spotless’ with lumineers and ‘I remember everything’ with kacey musgraves are all killer songs. I really can’t pick a favorite on this album so far, and that’s a complement. They are all so strong. He has a very unique sound and really comes across as so humble and down to earth. If you have not listened to Zach yet I strongly encourage you too, he is just a treasure of a song writer.

It's a good album, enjoyed the first listen but you can tell it is self produced. Lacks polish, which I do believe is intentional, but I think some of the songs could pack a bit more punch if he had worked with someone talented to produce. Deep Satin for example, which he left off, might be a better song than any of the ones on this album, though again, I do like it after the first listen. Vinyl preorders went up today as well, shipping in Oct I believe.

Halfway through my first listen and not surprising at all that it's great.

Hoping that War & Treaty join him at Pilgrimage Festival next month as they are both playing on Sunday.

Just got through Jake's Piano - Long Island. My favorite so far.

I really enjoyed that first listen. Fear and Fridays (song and poem) are fantastic. Love his ability to make so much of his material anthemic. Jake’s Piano - incredible. I Remember Everything is my sleeper hit, I will be revisiting it often. Appreciate the brief guitar solo in Tourniquet. I think Tradesman was the best written, hits me the hardest.

    BUT

Only flaw is some of it felt formulaic, like borrowing from his own songs that have already been released. It just wasn’t different enough for me to be blown away first time around - some of the impact of ‘new’ got lost. Like Hey Driver felt the same as Dawns in many ways. Terrible critic because I don’t know how to fully describe it, more of a feeling.

One thing is still certain, I don’t get tired of his voice.

Absolutely nutty prices for tour sale today. $322 per for pit, $250 per for lower bowl. Worst seats I found were $72 per. (Greenville shows reference)

I will be sitting this out without hesitation.

Yeah, prices were unreal. I got a club level but not club seat for $90ish plus fees. May ultimately sell the pair, but I was not spending $500 for a pair of lower bowl seats to hear him play songs that will not translate well to a stadium show. Honestly, the only thing that might make me keep my tix is to get to finally see Turnpike.

I cant express how much I hate Ticketmaster. I saw Zach twice this year in Worchester and Long Island. Paid about $100 per ticket on the floor each show. AXS was sooo much better and prices reasonable. I knew this would happen with most shows now Ticketmaster. Foxborough goes on sale at noon and I am not paying crazy prices so probably will miss out.

The artist holds responsibility here too. He went out of his way with the previous tour to control ticket prices and transferability. He did not this time. That is not all up to ticketmaster, that's up to the artist. He had floor tix at 330+ fees. He had platinum tickets for sale. They ARE transferrable.

If you want to control things for fans, you set prices (see PJ and The Cure), you try to minimize fees (hard, that's mostly TM), you make them non transferrable and set up a Fan to Fan exchange, and you do not opt in to platinum pricing. It's been done, but not enough and TM takes the blame. Childers just set up Fan to Fan and non transferrable as well.

Saw Zach on the last night of the Burn Burn Burn tour in KC.  What a great show!  Got the autographed poster.  Due to the prices doubling for the tour next year I decided to pass for now, as much as I'd like to see him again.  Oh well.
