34 song American Heartbreak album released earlier this year and it's the leader in the clubhouse for album of the year in my opinion.

Something In The Orange & Billy Stay are currently wrecking my world

This is a very good album. I have been lucky enough to have been following him for most of his (short) career so far, and I admit I was nervous to hear this album. Obviously, the production value was upped a good bit from his prior releases, and once I saw 34 tracks, I wasn't sure what to think.

But, it's quite good. It is a tad bloated (hard not to be at 30+), but if I had to trim it down, I'd probably still end up with a tracklisting in the high 20s. There really aren't that many throw aways. He writes excellent songs, that's for sure, and the album is really enjoyable. I haven't yet caught him live, but am really hoping to ASAP.

Honestly both albums he released this year by far the best albums of the year in my book. I am not a country fan, but his music is more singer singer writer some lean country some more towards rock or southern rock. My son introduced me to him last year but his other releases were just him sitting around with an acoustic guitar on YouTube which is how,he was discovered. American Heartbreak is an amazingly well written 34 song official debut album. And honestly no real filler. I encourage everyone to give it a go it’s really a fantastic album.  Then To follow it up with a 9 song EP like a month later and have it be just as strong is insane.

I love the 9 song ep and Somethimg In The Orange. I was looking at tickets on Stubhub for his concert in Oct. at The Fillmore in Detroit, friggen $400+ for top balcony. 😳

The entire album and subsequent ep are both stellar. Pretty much all I have been listening to this summer. And he has been dropping more tracks on YouTube the last couple weeks. He does not stop writing.

Figured I would jump in and give this a bump. He has release another 4-5 songs over the course of the fall and is pretty far along with yet another album. Plus he will be releasing a live LP from his red rocks show in November. Best song writer i have heard in years. He has been on steady for me since may. Usually I tire of an artist and move on but keep going back to his music. Worth a listen. So many amazing songs.

Yep! Been loving both songs on the “Greatest Day of My Life” single. Love “Fifth of May”. Looking forward to whatever he releases.

Yes love them both. Just thinking his record company must hate him for just randomly dropping so many good songs instead of saving them for albums. 😂

Announced his 2023 tour today. Looks like he's partnered with AXS to do something similar to what PJ did last year

I wasn’t selected initially, but picked up seats day of the show (today, ha!) thanks to this system.

Stoked to see him in Duluth! He has two sold out nights here, think I will stick to just one. Can’t believe he is already in arenas though…

    Going to be fun!

I just saw him in Worcester, MA last Friday. Honestly one of the best shows I have been to. Sold out crowd screaming every single word of every song. Incredible atmosphere.  I also loved the stage setup, everyone had a good seat. More artists should do this. This guy is special.

I was shocked last night at how loud the crowd was and how they knew every single word. One of the best shows for sure.

Agreed on stage setup too, everyone could see easily and he did a good job moving around all 4 sides. Metallica was the only other band I have been to that does it, works nicely

I know right? It seems like a no brainer. And yeah moving around each verse was awesome. We were on the floor so we’re super close for 1/4 of the show.

Your seats looks close to where we were. I was in 121 for the Monday show. Place was absolutely rocking. Maybe one of the loudest shows I’ve been at.

Enjoyed it so much I ended up doing Pit last night.

Yep, one section over in 122! How different was the setlist last night?

I was considering doing the same, but going to Rival Sons tonight so I took last night off to take care of life stuff ha

It was pretty close to the same. I think there was 3 or 4 songs swapped. I thought it was louder N1 honestly. Especially with those Braves chants haha.

Zach is back with another new album. This guy has put out a crazy amount of music in the last 18 months. And sounds like a quick follow for more tracks. Maybe an EP like last years summertime blues. He has become my favorite artist over the last few years. Saw him twice live this summer and the crowd involvement is insane.

What an incredible album. He continues to amaze with his song writing. This one is not as polished as American heartbreak or summertime blues and that seems very intentional. He continues to expand his sound. He still stays faithful to his roots but brings in elements from many of his other musical influences. His lyrics just hit so hard. Also loving the collaborations in this one. ‘Hey driver’ with war and treaty, ‘spotless’ with lumineers and ‘I remember everything’ with kacey musgraves are all killer songs. I really can’t pick a favorite on this album so far, and that’s a complement. They are all so strong. He has a very unique sound and really comes across as so humble and down to earth. If you have not listened to Zach yet I strongly encourage you too, he is just a treasure of a song writer.

It's a good album, enjoyed the first listen but you can tell it is self produced. Lacks polish, which I do believe is intentional, but I think some of the songs could pack a bit more punch if he had worked with someone talented to produce. Deep Satin for example, which he left off, might be a better song than any of the ones on this album, though again, I do like it after the first listen. Vinyl preorders went up today as well, shipping in Oct I believe.

Halfway through my first listen and not surprising at all that it's great.

Hoping that War & Treaty join him at Pilgrimage Festival next month as they are both playing on Sunday.
