I think it makes more sense to ignore personal statements you and I think are bullshit. Beats taking the chance of getting a time out.A generalized statement of disdain for the far-right though-- yeah, I think that is fair game.0

You don’t see the same thing happen here all the time? There’s wrong information posted about Texas, Fox, etc, and most people accept and comment on it without thinking twice. Often it’s easily disproved.0

Who does maga want to cancel today?
Literally the 2nd biggest story on their website right now is about some UK coffee company putting a picture of a trans person on one of their products. These people are crazy.

What a sham…So not fair for the biological woman competitors. Would love to hear how anyone can think this man’s inclusion in woman’s swimming is acceptable and celebrated.

Are we really still using the term 'canceled' in a serious manner?

I totally agree we can and ought to talk about these subjects. I just don't think making personal attacks are helpful. If someone says something ridiculous of off base, a better approach (and if this is not OK, someone should let me know) might be to illustrate how ridiculous their comment is. Like this, for example:JB16057 said:Kamala sucks and everyone knows it. Sorry your TDS is so bad that you can't even accept the facts for facts without somehow bringing Trump into every conversation. That is ridiculous.I don't think Kamala Harris sucks. I think she is doing a decent job. But if everybody knows she sucks, I must be a nobody.I suddenly feel strangely disembodied.

Before reading your quote, I thought the gif was in reference to certain people avoiding the board today.

Who's recently been 'canceled', anyone?
& who's been permanently 'canceled'? Mel Gibson still gets work... Louis CK was nominated for a grammy this year.

That's not to say society / the mob hasn't overreacted in certain situations, but it's not the phenomenon that it was made out to be.
