Have to go a second time with son when he’s back from camp.
Need to book our Barbie/Oppenheimer double feature for the opening weekend.Spiritual_Chaos said:I don't go two movies twice in the theatre. Except for Terminator 2. I try to watch that one every chance I get, when they show it.
I might catch Barbie on the 22nd. I think it will be less amazing than people are meming it up to be.
I think Oppenheimer will be as stiff and lifeless as most Nolan-films.
I just can't, lol. I've still never watched the Flintstones because it looked silly...0 -

A Night To Remember, the Titanic film from 1958. It's available for free on YouTube. I've been on a bit of a Titanic kick following that OceanGate disaster. Rewatched Cameron's film for the umpteenth time, and then watched this for the second time. Really, really good for being made in 1958, and obviously influential on Cameron's film.....

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning pt 1
well done summer action movie....only complaint would be, knowing its a 2 part or maybe more film....you can feel the ceiling in the 3rd act approaching where it kind of runs out of room and has to slow down a bit for the next one if that makes any sense.....0 -

CarryTheZero said:Quite enjoyed this. De-aged Indy was slightly weird, but not too bad. Would’ve liked more Antonio. Loved the car chase in Morocco. Callback to that final scene in Raiders got me. Harrison Ford, as always, was great!

Would you travel to another country to get to watch Terminator 2 on 35 or 70mm?

In Sweden? Yeah, probably. I bet you aren’t having to travel too far to get to another country. And it’s T2!0 -

So the other option is travel for a showing. It's being shown in London late August this year. But they seem to show a double bill of it with the original (both on 35) every year... at least they did both in -22 and -21... so maybe I can chill until next year and keep an eye open for it to be shown there, or somewhere else in Europe...
WOULD BE AWESOME. 70mm would be the dream, but that seems to show up way less often. I've seen the first one on 35mm. And ofc the third one and Terminator Salvation (he he)... but never gotten the chance with Terminator 2. And Se7en.

Other people might think we are crazy for traveling for a concert, so why not a movie?
I get it. I love the theater experience still. It’s my preferred way to see a film.
As for the Terminator sequels, T3 is better than people think or remember. Jonathan Mostow has done some good movies (Breakdown and yes, U-571). It’s no T1 or T2, but really, what is?
For Salvation, I enjoy Bale as John Connor and at the time, really loved Sam Worthington. Moon Bloodgood is great in that too. We won’t talk about Genysis. Ugh. The most recent one was fine.Post edited by CarryTheZero on0 -

I get it, 70mm is amazing, but the average movie-goer does not give AF.
