I don't know about other countries....but I doubt that they would here in Australia.
You don't HAVE to get 10c tix anyway....heaps of members get theirs through the public ticket sales and the tickets are quite often better.
    :) Cool!
Well, I best be off....Echo is pantless AGAIN (bloody toilet training  )
Have a good morning all :)

So far it's feeling a little better today. My ears not aching today and I managed to get a good nights sleep :)

I know what the solution is....I need to have it ripped out
All the others need to come out as well, cuz they've crowded my mouth and undone all the work I had done when I was a child and push a couple of my teeth out of posi. But the one thats giving me grief can't come through properly cuz 2/3 of it is trying to come up under another tooth and it can't.
Problem is....with Glenn not being here I can't go into hospital to have it done as I need to be home for the kids...and when Glenn is home, we always seem to have plans, like a concert or something, so no time for hospital or recovery.
I've worked out that when he comes home in July/August, we have nothing planned, so hopefully I can get it all sorted then. Bloody dentists are so expensive!! Connor cost us over $7,000 when he was 5 for an operation he had to have done on his teeth - I can see my teeth costing a lot more and all our savings being handed over again to a dentist :(

Hey Rob, what if they lose? haha, who are they playing?? I'm going for them :D

If they lose they lose. It's an achievement to get there anyway. The FA Cup has 731 teams competing, so to get to the final is a HUGE achievement. Especially as they're playing in the division below the Premier League.

Plus, it could be another 81 years till they get to another final, which will make it the only time in my life I'll see them play in an FA Cup Final, so I'm making the most of it.

Good to see that the official video of their FA Cup Final song has been released :)

So at the moment they're one of the top 2 out of 731 teams?? No wonder you're so excited!!!

Hey Kylie, your teeth sound quite similar to what I had :( Its bloody painful, you poor thing...hope they calm down for you soon ;)

If they grow too much under one of its neighbours it will become a compacted wisdom tooth and I think they are harder to get out
Kaines Mum is a dentist but she does school dental so doesnt see many wisdom tooth problems, but if you want I can ask her what you should do??

I got all four taken out after I had Echo (they were 1/2 way through) and it was only about $1000...the Aneasthatist (sp?) was the most expenno part of it!!

Yeah....I'll have to have them all out....especially this one that keeps giving me problems. It's been trying to come through for about 10 years now  but only used to play up every 6 months or so. It started moving every 4-5 months last year but has been giving me grief every 2-3 weeks this year and this time has been the worst....so I'm gonna have to get it sorted as soon as I can.....easier said than done though in my situation :(

:( Poor thing! If Kaines mum did wisdom teeth extraction then I would be hooking you up with her and you would be able to get it cheaper, but yeah, getting the kids looked after is a hard one...
have you got ANYONE that can look after the boys?? And are there any concerts in July??

If I get desperate I could get my Mum and Dad to have the kids - we have 3 = 2x boys and 1 x girl :)
But the thing is, they're up in Perth so it would mean the kids having to have time off school and I won't do that. I think it's the unknown as well.....I've heard of people taking ages to recover from having wisdom teeth removed and without trying to sound negative, I have a feeling I'll be one of those people. My wisdom teeth have curly roots, which apparently? makes it more complicated and a couple of them have grown right down to my bottom jaw. So yeah....I've been warned that it won't be a simple extraction :( I'm fine with the pain side of it all.....just not the time it might take for me to get up and about again.

LOL! No concerts that I know of in July.....buuuuuut if one comes up, I'll just have to stay tough and put up with my stupid tooth :D

There's an official fan club over here called "Bluebirds Down Under" with groups in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

EDIT: Just checked the website and it looks like most of them are flying back for the game

 those curly roots sound interesting!!!
I think the recovery thing is made to sound worse than it is, honestly!

When I told my Mum I had to get mine taken out she was REALLY paranoid and saying Kaine would have to take a WEEK off (not able to, sorry!)...basically she remembers what it was like back in her day...so I was FREAKING out!!

Anyway, went in, got sedated (not knocked out) and remember only bits and peices...(I recall humming Shell Be Coming Round The Mountain  !!!).
Spent the rest of the day in bed, recovering from the Sedatives...next day I was up and about, but only could drink my food :D I lived off Banana Smoothies....
Honestly, my husband cant afford to have time off either an he only had a day and a half off work...
the worst part of it is not being able to eat :( I love my food

*I didnt know you had a girl, thats great!!!

Yeah, she reckons they put a knee on her sternum to give themselves a bit of leverage while trying to pull out the wisdom teeth

Sairs....I think you were just one of the lucky one's. I know of a lot of people that have had the same kind of experience as Rob's Mum, in the last few years. It all depends on how complicated the extraction is and the dentist doing it. All sorts of bruises when they come out of anaesthetic.

My poor little Connor had a tooth extracted a couple of years ago and I had to lay on top of him to hold him down while he screamed the place down.....it wasn't until I took him to the Dr.s the next day that I was told he hadn't been anaethetised  :( I have never been so angry and upset in my life!!!!!! My poor little man.

The dentist had told me they'd given him 3 needles to numb him and he had.....but it was the Doctor that told me that the dentist could have given him 100 needles and they wouldn't have done a thing, because Connor had an abscess under his tooth which counteracts the anaesthetic. He said that the dentist would have known that, but was probably just in a hurry to get another patient through
To make it even worse.....Connors tooth probably didn't even need to be extracted....a course of antibiotics wouldve fixed it!

Fuck.....I still tear up now, thinking about what he went through that day.....looking at me as if to say "why are you letting him do this to me Mum?" :( People in the street would have heard him, he was screaming so loud.
  • SamuleSamule Posts: 3,231
the anaethetists sometimes hit the sternum when they are slow in waking them up, pushes the air out of the lungs and makes them cough which brings on the breathing so they wake up quicker!
  • SamuleSamule Posts: 3,231

Is it the fucking amazing cup?? fark, thats huge!

Staying in Newie and watching it with mates that you've 'recruited' as fans sounds like a lot more fun anyway!!

Kylie have you been told you have to have the surgery under full anaesthesia? if you're given the option i'd highly recommend twilight sedation... you're in and out of the dental surgery in a couple hours, can't drive for a day or 2, but so much cheaper than a hospital visit.. maybe something to think about when Glenn's back? you'll be able to respond to questions and verbal commands during the op so maybe this'll help diminish the likelihood of mystery bruises

don't leave it too long.. :(
