Sam's da man :D That should keep you happy for a while! :)

    Hmmmm? Who have I met?
    Sam (Samule)
    Rob (Oz Jammer)
    Brendan (DonJon)
    Stuart (Vital5)
    Trudie (tigress)
    Wozz (Lukin4)
    Julia (JJJ)
    Sean (Filthy Canvas)
    Hinny
    Joel (WorlsRival)
    Megan (Perpectual Sound)
    Ryan (Major Clod)

Have met them all through here.
Julia (JJJ) just lives in Mandurah, so we catch up when we can and went to the '06 show together (she used my spare 10c ticket) and she came to Powderchair with us as well.

I met Rob, Sam, Brendan, Stuart, Hinny and Ryan (and prolly others I can't remember) when I flew over to Sydney last October to see Chris Cornell.

And then nearly all on that list were at the Meet Up in QLD last November, so spent about 5 days with them then :)

I'm heading to Brizzy for Powderfinger in June, so will spend that time with Sam, Wozz, Trudie and finally meet Glenn (threefish10).

Sam came and stayed at our place for a little holiday last month.

It's prolly hard for most to undersatnd, but I think of all these guys as my closest mates!

They're lucky I live all the way over here, or they'd have to put up with me a LOT more :D

no, i understand it completely!! Its a bond that is based on the RIGHT things...personality and music. None of that pretentious bullshit like looks :)

I think its awesome that everyone on here seems so comfortable with each other, you dont find that alot in the day to day communications with others. I know I cant wait to meet alot of the crew on here, especially at the shows!!!
Im spewing about not organising my arse a bit better to have had a group meet up over here, one of my mates in America does it a fair bit and I was soooo keen...but in the end it was too hard as I was separated from my hubby and having some family troubles so.....
anyhoo, im glad that one got organised in the end ;)

You did try though :) There's quite a few of us (message pit users) over here in WA.....just not many that visit since the tour, so makes it hard to get in touch with them for a meet up :(

The Australia wide meet up that Rob organised was the way to go. There were a LOT more people sign up for it, than actually turned up  but it was awesome!!

What was the meet up like? Where was it held? Do you think there will be another one?

The Meet Up was fantastic!! Thanks to Rob, for being the one to get off his bum and organise it :D There was always talk...."we should all get together and meet" etc etc, but he was the one to make the next step to actually make it happen!

Didn't I send you an invite via PM?? I sent so many, that I can't remember who I sent to??

It was up at Surfers Paradise. Trudies hubby is the lead singer in a Pearl Jam cover band, so we all went to see them play.

There was a thread....I'll see if I can find it for ya.

    Found it... http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=252862&page=20

Oops! just had a quick look at the meet up thread and it's mostly the lead up to it and not a lot posted after it. I think we all chatted about it in here :)
  • I have just logged in for the first time in almost a year! 28/04/07 was the last time I logged on! I have been reading posts though....

I remember when you guys had a get together on the gold coast, I was there the weekend before.... I wish I could have changed our trip!

If it wasnt for them we would be ruled under laws that would probably prevent us from going to see live bands play...like PJ!Cya :)

Same....I don't DISlike them....but just can't get into them. At least I'm not the only one LOL! There's 2 of us
I know a lot were fans prior to them supporting PJ and some became fans after PJ making people aware of them.....but I also think some say they're fans because they supported PJ and it's 'cool' ???? Just my oppinion :o
