Can you still get boys circumcised? I got told it was really hard to get it done now? Banned in public hospitals in certain states and shit like that???
Yeah I know its hard here....ppl were flying to the mainland to Melb to get it done...
My great nephew had it done when he was about 2, 2 yrs ago for medical reasons...
Im pleased I had girls and didnt have to make a decision..)
The petition has to be started by Rob... it wouldn't be the same otherwise.
And Glenn.... put a sock in it will ya?!

One of our nephews had to get it done when he was 5 :( , also for medical reasons.
So it adds to the whole debate....do you get it done, to avoid any future complcations??
We'd made up our mind way before having kids, that if we had boys, they'd be circ'd. When I had my first, they were dead against it and I had a really hard time finding someone that would do it.
My Ob; was against it and gave me a tonne of info to read about it  - - - we didn't get the boys done!!!!
I know every guy that is done will say they don't remember it......but we just couldn't go through with it.
One of the facts that really freaked me is : the foreskin (until about the age of 4) is attached just like a finger/toe nail is attached to a finger/toe. It can be ripped away - but NOT pleasant  :(
EDIT TO ADD: the thing about sons being the same as their Dad - our boys have never questioned it.
Absolutely!
We've spoken to our people (aka Rob) now we just need him to speak to his people
And Rob's people will speak to MR's people who will speak to EV's people and hopefully that will convince him to tour here.

LMAO!!! Yeah I will....cuz it'd be all your fault
My prediction....I'LL LOVE IT!!!!
As I said last week, even if the only funny parts are those on the preview, I still love it - I still laugh at the preview as much as I did the first time I watched it
My boys are always saying "I wwhill, I wwhill forget it......."
and "whiskey! WHISKEY!!!!" and "he's going in circles! woo-hoo! "

Yeah when I had Carissa it was still being done, but ppl werent getting it done as b4...
They had changed a lot of things to deter it tho....
In the past here they would keep the mother and baby in hospital for an extra week after having it done, and the nurse would be with the baby when the operation was done. And the nurses would change the dressings and attend to the baby during that week.
But when I had Carissa the operation was performed the day the baby left the hospital and the mother had to hold the baby while it was done.. then they wouldve had to take the the baby home and change the dressing etc etc.....Thank god she was a girl...
I really dont know what why wouldve done if we had boys tho......
IMO opinion circumcised looks better, but is that a reason..
Matt reckons if we had boys they wouldve been done..so I think we wouldve had different opinions on that...Ive heard guys can have a lot of pain from being over done..dunno...just heard that......
The doctor I had with Carissa and Carly gave me information sheets about it and when he handed them to me he said " I dont do boys and I dont do girls..
But there were other gynos that wouldve and were doing them...
With Phoebe it wasnt even mentioned...
Perhaps your boys just think Glenn is different cos hes a grown up..

Any tour news??????...:)
Uhuh.....If I'd have had the boys done, I had to wait until they were 2 weeks old and either Glenn or myself would have had to hold them down and I would've had to change all dressings etc;
I'm bad enough when the kids have to be immunised, let alone having to hold them down while part of them is cut off. They're not anesthetised in any way either :( It's quite barbaric when you think about it. I don't think anything about anyone else doing it, it's a very personal decission.....it was just something I couldn't do.
you're prolly right about them just thinking Glenn's different cuz he's an adult.
I know there's a couple of boys at school that are done.....I wonder if there are any schoolyard discussions about that?

Yeah I saw it being done on a Tv show one day and nearly fainted omg it bled so much..
Imagine what that pain must be like at the time...
It annoys me when ppl say they cant remember....to put your kid thru that ...I couldnt do it..
Yep I just fixed my time up....
My internet had been slowed....OMG its taking ages to load anything and theres about another 10 days b4 it goes back to normal..:)
At my work i have a couple of doctors who work only with kids, all of them refuse to circumcise kids unless there is a medical reason behind it. That being said, i have heard of a couple of cases where the family who want to pay alot more money the doctors will perform the operation. grrrr. A very close friend of mine had his done a few months ago, he said the pain after the first week wasn't so bad as long as he wore loose fitting shorts, and he couldn't do "anything" for 8 months, good thing he doesn't get any anyway.
It seems that everything I want for my pregnancy/kids etc is TOTALLY AGAINST what everyone thinks is the "norm" now....not that I give a shit...but it's still kind of annoying.

It's your decission and you have your reasons for them
Both caesers and circumsision are very personal choices and IMO there is no wrong or right - it's what suits you
Can I ask why you're so pro circumsission.....once again - I'm not judging your decission....I'm just interested
