dont see how it would be a waste. It made no sense to me but they said in the email and again on the ticketmaster request page to select all options to increase your chances. Having a second option shouldn't impact your priority. You either got GA or were thrown in the lotto for reserved seating.
it kind of begs the question why you could even select both. i.e. it would have made more sense as an either GA or reserved or just reserved. the option to select both is confusing, especially if it makes no difference.

The entry form actually said that....if you just selected GA and didn't get drawn then you have a second chance at reserved once GA is assigned.
The entry form did not say that you get 2 entries into the Reserved only pool (basically double odds if you missed on GA).

It did say that you would be included in the Reserved pool, if not selected for GA.

In the past I thought it went as follows:

All Priority 1 GA go into a lottery, they start drawing names, if everyone gets a ticket they throw in all Priority 2, and so on until all tickets are gone.
    Then the same with reserved.

So if you put GA priority 1 and Reserved priority 2 and missed on GA, you had to wait until all Priority 1 Reserved got seats until you had a chance.
I am lost, I'm no guide, but I'm by your side

Not how it works… you’re picked.. if you choose Ga and it’s available you get it… if you choose Res you get it… notification order or emails have nothing to do with it .. this has been explained many times

That just sounds like someone made it up… makes zero sense   If you’re picked your picked… they don’t pick you for GA or Reserved.. you choice priority and that’s what you get u til it’s full, if you choose both you would automatically get reserved if Ga was full…

    TEN CLUB TICKET OPTIONS

***In order to increase your chance of getting tickets, please select all of the seat preferences you would be willing to accept.***

GA Pit or Reserved - Standing or Seating:
GA Pit tickets are standing room only and are extremely limited. To improve your overall chances of getting any tickets to the show, we are no longer offering a GA only ticket option. Members wanting GA tickets can select “GA or Reserved” and the GA tickets will be assigned at random. If not selected for GA, members will then be entered for Reserved. GA ticket holders will receive early entry at a predetermined GA only door.

    Reserved - Seating:
Reserved seated tickets are assigned to members based on seniority in the Ten Club and will start closest to the stage extending back and include seats down on the arena floor. In order to accommodate as many Ten Club members as we can, be aware Ten Club seated tickets will be spread farther back into the uppermost levels, and include some of the best seat locations in the house.

Rear and Side View - Seating (Chicago Only):
In an effort to get more members in the room in Chicago, for the first time ever Ten Club is including side and rear stage tickets labeled “Rear View or Side View” in this presale. These tickets wrap from the sides of the stage all the way around the back. The tickets are often close up views and offer a fun and unique behind the scenes perspective of the show. Seats are potentially partial view or limited view. These will be assigned to members based on seniority across the whole area.

GA Lawn - Standing (Indianapolis Only):
Ten Club has reserved the majority of GA lawn tickets. Due to the volume of tickets held for Ten Club purchases, we are unable to offer early entry or a members only area on the lawn. Members purchasing GA lawn tickets will enter with the general public at the regular door time.

    Disabled Access Tickets:
Members in need of disabled access tickets must request ADA tickets through Ticketmaster Request during the seat selection process. ADA seating locations will vary by venue.  There are no ADA tickets located in the GA pit.

No. That's not the email we are referring to. This is not one that everyone got. It was a response to one person's specific email that they sent to the Tenclub support. Either way I don't think it's impactful. It's just confusing and I sure as shit hope there is not some reason why selecting both options actually hurt your chances to pull tickets for multiple shows. I am reserving judgment until later today. In the meantime, just impatiently waiting for any notification for my 3 selections....

All I know is if the Ten Club said "check both boxes for better chances" I would check both boxes and not think too hard about it
Exactly. It was a little confusing to me as to why, but the entry form said "check all the boxes for your best chance of getting tickets" so I just followed the instructions and did what it said. Reading comprehension is a dying skill, I guess.

Ten club really needs to go back to running the lottery. We’re into the 2nd day and maybe a 1/4 of the tickets have been verified. This is a horrible system.

Nothing like the feeling you missed on GA with your priority 1 and then an hour later your bud sends you a picture of being a winner at Noblesville PIT, the smallest of the pits, and you realize you are in fact a winner.
