Just got the notice shortly before noon EST that I was able to nab 2 GA tickets to Chicago night 2! So pumped! I've never been able to enjoy floor seats!!! See anyone else who got seats on September 7! ☺️

That just sounds like someone made it up… makes zero sense   If you’re picked your picked… they don’t pick you for GA or Reserved.. you choice priority and that’s what you get u til it’s full, if you choose both you would automatically get reserved if Ga was full…

The entry form actually said that....if you just selected GA and didn't get drawn then you have a second chance at reserved once GA is assigned.

Nobody knows exactly how this stuff works, but I frankly have a hard time imagining how checking both “GA or Reserved” and “Reserved” would improve your odds. Couldn’t hurt them, but my recollection is that the “GA or Reserved option was described pretty clearly as entering you for both GA and reserved.

That first part is accurate and funny. How we don't know is beyond me? Should have been explained by now. Seems to be going differently than before based on what is being announced.
I'm pretty sure the previous lotteries went like this: Start with #1 pick. If your name is drawn, they look at your selection. If they gave you the best available based on your selection. Meaning if you selected either or and GA was there, you got GA, if it wasn't you got reserved (unless you selected GA only).
Now with the instructions to elect all that apply when GA or reserved together was an option was confusing. And looks like only GA being confirmed so far is adding to that.
The only thing I can think of is they have so many seats reserved they aren't worried about running out of reserved, so just pulling GA first?

From the description:

"In order to increase your chance of getting tickets, please select all of the seat preferences you would be willing to accept."

The real question is do they combine the reserved in "GA or reserved" together with everyone who just chose reserved only or do they do 2 separate lotteries. If they combine them (likely) then it doesn't make a difference. If not, you theoretically get a 2nd shot at reserved seats if you strike out initially.

Right, but you didn't need to choose one priority over the other. You only chose priority by show. My 1st priority was Chicago Night 1 (with both options selected). My 2nd & 3rd priorities were the Austin shows (again, with both options selected). I had zero understanding that selecting both options for the Chicago show would move my Austin priority down. If that is true than I am fucking PISSED. That was no how I interpretted that.  I agree that it doesn't seem necessary, though. If your one option is GA or Reserved I don't really understand why you would also need to selected the only seats option. I only selected both options based on that email.

dont see how it would be a waste. It made no sense to me but they said in the email and again on the ticketmaster request page to select all options to increase your chances. Having a second option shouldn't impact your priority. You either got GA or were thrown in the lotto for reserved seating.

All I know is if the Ten Club said "check both boxes for better chances" I would check both boxes and not think too hard about it

Guys: if you picked GA or Reserved, and you don’t get drawn for GA, you get entered into the reserve drawing. Is it possible that if you did that and ALSO picked Reserved, you get entered into the reserved drawing twice? Perhaps. But I doubt it.

Weren't the priorities actually by show and not by seat choice, though? There wasn't a way to rank the seat choices when you chose them for a show if you chose multiple selections.

The selection comment was a generalization made for 9 shows at 5 venues, all with different tiers.

Chicago and Noblesville each had 3 tiers.

Rather than getting into each specific combination, by city/venue, they just said, select all, that you would accept, to maximize your chances.

This makes total sense to provide as guidance vs, select this specific combination with 5 different combinations across 9 shows.

If you selected GA/Reserved, but not Reserved, you're covered. Likewise, if you selected both, you ensured that you were covered, in case of some sort of glitch or where things didn't go as they were expected to, etc.

Yeah, this is how I understood it to be. I wonder if they pull the GA, fill it up and if you don't get pulled but selected GA/reserved you are back into the lottery along w/ everyone who put reserved only. That's the only way it makes sense.

GA Pit or Reserved - Standing or Seating:
GA Pit tickets are standing room only and are extremely limited. To improve your overall chances of getting any tickets to the show, we are no longer offering a GA only ticket option. Members wanting GA tickets can select “GA or Reserved” and the GA tickets will be assigned at random. If not selected for GA, members will then be entered for Reserved. GA ticket holders will receive early entry at a predetermined GA only door. 

Reserved - Seating:
Reserved seated tickets are assigned to members based on seniority in the Ten Club and will start closest to the stage extending back and include seats down on the arena floor. In order to accommodate as many Ten Club members as we can, be aware Ten Club seated tickets will be spread farther back into the uppermost levels, and include some of the best seat locations in the house. 

Rear and Side View - Seating (Chicago Only):
In an effort to get more members in the room in Chicago, for the first time ever Ten Club is including side and rear stage tickets labeled “Rear View or Side View” in this presale. These tickets wrap from the sides of the stage all the way around the back. The tickets are often close up views and offer a fun and unique behind the scenes perspective of the show. Seats are potentially partial view or limited view. These will be assigned to members based on seniority across the whole area. 

GA Lawn - Standing (Indianapolis Only):
Ten Club has reserved the majority of GA lawn tickets. Due to the volume of tickets held for Ten Club purchases, we are unable to offer early entry or a members only area on the lawn. Members purchasing GA lawn tickets will enter with the general public at the regular door time. 

Disabled Access Tickets:
Members in need of disabled access tickets must request ADA tickets through Ticketmaster Request during the seat selection process. ADA seating locations will vary by venue.  There are no ADA tickets located in the GA pit.
