I'm 47 years old. I'm married. I have 3 kids. I have a full-time job that keeps me busy. I coach more youth sports than I probably should. I've been seeing the band live since 1994. Like others, this day SHOULDN'T consume me as much as it does. I'm in the same boat. I tell myself I've been lucky and not to be greedy but DAMNIT I get giddy at the thought of seeing my favorite band live. It's the lone trump card I have on the family calendar. Fingers crossed I can log some shows in the family calendar this evening. Good luck all.

Travelling can be relative based on what your criteria is. If we get tickets, we will be driving 4+ hours to Chicago and spending the night in a hotel for a few days. If we get tickets to Noblesville, we will be driving 3 hours to get there and spending the night at a hotel. I would consider what we are doing as travelling, but some might think it needs an airplane ride.

I'm 3hrs from St Louis, Kansas City, Tulsa, and Little Rock. I don't consider that traveling, I consider those my home shows.  I often drive there and back for shows the same day. Same for OKC, which is 4.5hrs.

In that case, I live in the middle of nowhere, so I guess I travel for just about everything, unless I want to drive through the night to get back home. I am getting too old for that.

The morning of the tour announcement I threw on a 2013 tour shirt and realized they hadn't played Dallas in 10 years.  A few hours later they announced the Fort Worth shows!  Here's to not having to travel to a show for once (except the 45 minute drive there of course).  Looking forward to seeing thew new(ish) songs live!

I put in for both Austin shows but don’t have a fixed idea of what the trip would look like. Do I try to scrape together a trip with some of my usual concert buddies? Long weekend in Austin with the wife? Schedule some meetings in Austin and/or other TX cities that week and make a work trip out of it? Some combination of the above? First step is to win the lottery, the rest will take care of itself.
