I would certainly recommend it over the most common tourist areas - the Loop around Millennium Park and the Magnificent Mile. That is where there have been issues with large gatherings of teenagers recently. I personally would advise against staying in those areas right now for that reason.

Agree that around the United Center, specifically to the west, is a bad area not somewhere you want to hang out. But if you are walking back on Madison after the show with huge group of people it will be fine. I probably average once a month making that walk and have never felt unsafe.

Is the Marriott at Medical District/UIC in a questionable area/ not a place to hang out?

We have a room booked there. It seems pretty safe. It is surrounded by hospital buildings and only a short walk from the Blue line station.

I stayed there last Feb for Earthlings. Not a bad location, not a bad hotel.

I'd say generally fine, but less preferred. There is not as much to do over there and it will be a little quieter at night after medical business hours. IMO again it should be fine and would chalk it up more to the "standard urban environment" category I would not consider it to be a truly bad area. Just trying to give you the full picture.

Oh, it was easy up to say the 2003 tour.
Used to just mail in your requests and a money order, in the 90's your tix would be mailed to you, then starting in either 2000 or 2003 you picked them up at will call.

Guess, I was wrong again........it used to be easy.

Taking days off of work to press F5 for an hour or two per show was the worst. Win or lose, I appreciate the lottery.

In 2006 I was traveling for work and had to find a Kinko's to F5 at for an hour to get the Camden shows.

Thanks, appreciate it. If I'm lucky enough to get tickets, I'll be flying in the day before and flying out the morning after, so I really just need a relatively safe/clean place to sleep. Are the Marriott and the Hyatt House both walkable from the venue?

There is a way to rank the shows you want to select which is important because the further down your rankings you go the odds drop substantially especially with only 9 shows. And yes it is best to pick less popular shows to enhance your chances in the lottery. Key word is lottery there are no guarantees of anything.

The short answer is the higher you rank a show that you want tickets for the better your odds of getting tickets for that show. Odds of getting your 3rd or 4th pick drop substantially because you have a lower priority of getting those shows due to more people being in front of you in the lottery process.

Where are you seeing this?

I didn’t think it was a thing, and there’s no connection between the probability of getting tickets at one venue and the next. If you go for more shows, you increase your odds, but getting Minny tickets doesn’t decrease your odds for Chicago tickets, for example.

The way it is supposed to work is everyone who put in a venue for #1 will get it before anyone who picks it as #2, and so on.
SO for example, Chicago night 1, will be a lottery for all who picked it as their #1. If there's leftover tickets they'll do a lottery for all who selected it as #2. If there's leftover tickets there will be a lottery for all who selected it as #3, and so on.

So the higher you rank it drastically increases your odds of getting it. If it is anything like the 2018 and the 2020/2022 shows, you are all but guaranteed a ticket for your #1 pick (there's no MSG this round, so probably true).

I believe that is not quite correct,.... based on 2020.2022 pulls, Yes First Priority for a given show gets assigned first... then all secondary priorities get pulled at the same time... several people reporting getting 3rd, 4th and even 5th priorities when some for the same show who selected that show as 2nd lost out.. ..I do not think its as gradual as it would seen... 1st priority for a show gets selected... then all other priorities...

Probably a stupid question. I have already requested Saint Paul 1 show but thinking about updating my request to the 2nd in order to increase my odds. Will it be easy to sell one of these, from what I understand, at face value? I'm guessing there will be huge demand for them, but just nervous about spending so much money. I guess the worst case scenario is that I get to go to a second show. But just exploring my options and nervous about having to purchase a second batch of tix. Opinions and thoughts on this are much appreciated!

It’s kind of hard to determine demand at the moment, but I would think it’s high. Adjust your anxiety according to your 10c number. Number 100,000? Decent seats much easier to sell. Number 498,000? Not so easy to sell.

St Paul night 2 is on a Saturday. It will be in high demand. All of these shows will be, IMO, but that one in particular.

Friend of mine re-joined 10c a couple weeks ago and got a number in the 735k range. Just gives you an idea of how high the numbers are now.

I think a lot of those people confirmed there was some user error. That they put them in a wrong order or something. And if I remember right, the order you selected it wasn't always the default order, you might have had to go through and reorder it again before you submitted. I think some people didn't realize that. Or some other similar easily-made mistake.
There were also people who claim they got shut out of their one and only pick to shows like LA. I'm assuming they just didn't follow directions or put in an invalid card number and never resounded to the emails to correct it.

I know I don't have to remind people but I will that there is not 735K active members. Tens of thousands of numbers have not been renewed over the 30+ years of the fan club.

Wow.

I can add that I joined in May 2023 and am just shy of 720,000 so they’ve added 15,000 active members (as still within 1st year) in 10-11 months.
