I saw it this weekend. Found it highly entertaining. And Shaun of the Dead is a good comp in terms of the style, dark humor. Definitely humor is intended.
And to those going to see it, pay attention to the billboard next to the roadside pay phone. It shows up twice when 2 different characters stop to make a phone call, they don't show it very long so it's a blink and you miss it thing, but I found it rather funny.
Glad you enjoyed it. I was totally disappointed by it. I didn't think it was very funny or entertaining. I also had high hopes because of Elizabeth Banks, but it really didn't do it for me or the friend I went with... and we were even at a VIP theatre, drinking our faces off at the time. Still not very funny. Maybe we needed to do some coke for it to resonate, LOL.

Exactly my take. We have a decent sized (8-9k) all GA outdoor venue that gets pretty big names. My friends know I’m going early (5:00ish) to get rail and they’re welcome to join, but most want to dick around and show up 10 minutes before the headliner. They act like it’s the equivalent of a 20 mile run going as early as I do.

I find myself in a pickle sometimes, like when a show I'm really excited about is announced and then a friend actually says to me "we should go to that", I'm like, ummmmm, yeeeaaaahhhhhh. Haha. Although in small venues I'm okay with wherever, so I can save those for tix with friends. Like the wonderful Commodore - I actually prefer the balcony at a table to the floor there, because the sound and view is so damn good there anyway, plus my friends love it.

Currently, there’s nothing this repub party represents that I want to “hear out.” It is a party dominated by white evangelical supremacists who only want to be misogynistic, racist and anti-woke, whatever that means, LGBQT. They are hateful with absolutely no reasonable policy solutions for any of our most pressing problems. About the only thing I have in common with members of the current repub party and their voters is the color of my blood and a passport, if they have one. Sad.

Be it crime, abortion, gay marriage, etc. I think elections swing on turnout of those people, plus the #2 and #4 above.

I don't think we've seen a state be lost to that since 2000 when Nader took about 100k votes. You have to believe the vast majority were Gore voters.
