    Did Chains pounce on her?
No, she took a side swipe at Nuala when she landed & slid next to her; it was pretty great to catch in a recording... they're still getting to know each other; there's still some hissing and swiping here & there, but there's also a lot chasing each other up & down the place in a playful way, so I think we're good.
Awesome. I was also thinking that Hedo would have had some great comment about your photo. I miss her around here 😢

That little stripe on her face is what gave her away. Otherwise, I would have never see her in this photo.

Progress… and / or Chains is just giving up. Either way, I’ll take it.

This makes me so happy. Congrats on their snuggling together. That didn’t take very long at all. Such a cute photo!

I know. I can see a few changes from when he was younger but the vet said he looks amazing for being 16. He is very active and bright eyed. And his coat is still thick and shiny.
  • He’s a beauty for any age, GG, that he looks like that at 17 is a credit to you & anyone else caring for him.

Meanwhile there’s little rest for Hell Cat over here.

My wife made a big pot of Italian Wedding Soup.  It was OK, but just (don't tell her I said that!).  The kale in it is especially just OK (read between the line, lol!).  Annie hopped up on the chair next to me, purred a little "I'll try that!" to me so I slipped her some of the kale from my bowl.  Oh did she like that!  Hey, Annie, here, have some more!

She's f'n tapped... definitely a 9mo who pushes boundaries and is seeing who's boss. I had to pull her out of the dishwasher yesterday, she climbed in on the first rack when the door was open. She's a lunatic. We knew what we were getting into with another Tortie though... the attitude is real.

She is also super affectionate too; cries when I leave for work every morning, and snuggles up while sleeping with me or my wife. It's also pretty common for her to curl up at my feet if I'm sitting on the couch watching tv late night. I think we got a good one here, I just need to reign in the biting & swiping, as well as the counter & table visits.

Chains still isn't sold on her, but they do chase each other around a lot in a mostly playful way... I think we'll be ok once we get there.

Sounds adorable. Kittens will be kittens. Just make sure to check the dishwasher before you start running it. Chains will come around. If they are starting to play that is good.

One of my cats loves lettuce. Just tell your wife the soup is delicious as you are slipping it to Annie. I am not a fan of kale either.

My 19.5 yr old cat, Tigger, went into septic shock today. He was off his food a bit, but he's been dealing with kidney issues so that's somewhat normal. He went outside this afternoon (he still likes his little patrol of his turf, but normally doesn't stay out for long). When I had to leave for work, he was still out, so I went to work for two hours then came home to let him in. He's usually waiting for me by the door, but he wasn't to be seen. I checked his usual outdoor hangout spots but he wasn't around. Went back to work and returned to check on him an hour later. (I live very close to my job.) When I pulled into the driveway he was under the bush he likes to sit. Went over to him but his nose was face down in front of him. He's deaf now, so I petted him and he looked up and meowed but I immediately saw his legs were splayed out. When he tried to get up he couldn't stand. I picked him up and drove straight the vets. I was thinking maybe he had a dog bite or was hit by a a car.
Turns out he is septic and went into shock. Vet said his back legs were so cold, and his whole body, that the thermometer wouldn't even read his temperature. It doesn't look good. There may also be a blood clot in the artery between his legs which has rendered them unfunctional. My wife is in London working but she booked a flight home tomorrow. (I live in Ireland.)
I'm dreading tomorrow. Sorry for the long post, but I'm just devasted at the moment. There's still a slim chance he could pull through, so I'm just hoping.
