So Padres got Xander.  That means they move Tatis to OF and Abrahms over to 2nd?
    Move Kim to 2nd?
I figure CJ Abrahms is their future.  Then theres Croneworth though at 2nd.  He's not a bad player by any means.

I'm very curious on what they do.

who did you mention as a Giants SS? I’m not banking on any prospects….every time I hear one touted, they disappoint.

Nimmo signs the second largest deal in Mets history?
I don't watch them enough, but is that dude worth that much?

They'll probably trade either for a decent starter

I think their best signing was Quintana. I like the Phils signing Walker, but I would've much more preferred the lower price tag of Quintana.

I mean outside of replacing deGrom with Verlander.

Nimmo is beloved by the fans and was a home grown prospect from NY.  Solid player.

Longest tenure from a Mets player is from?  Anybody want to guess?

Ed Fucking Cranepool.  His rc year was 1968...  Next is David Wright with 14.

I have heard that, but I’ve seen too many prospects flame out. if his IS, indeed, a stud then fuck a bunch of FAs, let brandon crawford hold it down for one more 81-81 year.

Yeah.  As a neutral observer,  the giants kind of got bailed out there
  • Good for the Giants.  Now bring up Luciano.

I can only assume Yankees fans are having aneurysms. Other than that, yeah, I tip my cap to the LOL Mets.

Thought the Giants were nuts for doing that in the first place.  Glad they got cold feet.

13 years for any player was too much. I am not upset this fell through.

I think signing him to a deal more for more than 5-6 seasons is a stretch. I'm glad that Crane wouldn't budge in Houston and I think Giants fans will be happy with this in the long run. Correa is a great player, no doubt. But he is not Mike Trout.

I don't know, man. Not to play complete devils advocate, and I didn't love the deal, but he was also the youngest free agent, but the Giants came into the offseason saying they wouldn't be outbid for Judge and then didn't end up with a single big name free agent...not great.

Itll pay off for them in the long run.  They showed a willingness to spend, and as a result, they really helped bid up some MLBPA members and their agents.  It'll earn them consideration in the future.

Short term?  Being stuck in the arms' race between Los Angeles and San Diego, it probably kind of sucks mentally.
