Idk. I just want to stay out of this. He is a talented dude. Kills it live. what his opinions are should be a separate thing. Imho
As a big fan of his music, the bummer for me is that it seeps into his new songs in a very hamfisted way. Like Supreme Court Halloween shirt hamfisted.

Of course Joseph Arthur is entitled to his own opinions, and I'm entitled to mine.

My opinion of him in light of his very outspoken stance on covid is that he can go shit in his hat.
    LMAO

I really appreciate him as an artist/musician. Very nice the few times we met. Just plain dumb how this world is cracking up.  I feel like we are being tricked into hating one another.
PS never read anything he said or what's going on. I kinda know but choose not to pay attention.

If you followed him on social media it was impossible to not pay attention. He was basically spamming his fans with some serious bullshit and was insulting those who didn't see it his way. I lost a LOT of respect for him. Since I no longer follow him, he's fallen mostly off my radar, but I am still on his mailing list, so I got his email today where he actually advertised his lawsuit against the LA Times and his interview with Megyn Kelly. Anyway, I know I never read anything from the LA Times, and I was a huge fan, and he managed to drive me away anyhow. I do occasionally listen to his music though... But I used to listen to it all the time. I naturally lost that desire because of his bahaviour, plus a lot of his new songs are still him just going off about all the BS. HE ruined his career, not the LA Times.

That's cool, you have every right to feel that way.

And HE has every right to be super loud & proud about his anti-covid-vax & anti-mask views during the worst of lockdown, which is exactly what he did.

What's utter BS is him NOW crying victim because he's finally realized "Oh, people actually cared about what I said, disagreed with what I said, some thought it was dangerous and irresponsible, and now think I sounded crazy and offensive. And now they don't want to work with me or come see my shows/buy my music. And even though I proudly declared for OVER A YEAR on MY social media all these views, I'm now going to blame the LA Times for the bad image I've given myself Oh yeah, I forgot to yell "Cancel Culture must end!"".

He can state his views all he wants, but I am SO OVER people crying victim when the rest of us state OUR VIEWS and say "Ok, bye now, no more money or business or votes or coverage for you. You said crazy dangerous stuff, so now you're dead to me".

That is some *serious* bullshit that he's blaming a newspaper for views he loudly and proudly broadcasted for ages on his own social media. And none of the rest of us need to care since he refuses to be accountable for his own words and actions.

And the more he does this stuff, the clearer I am that I will never ever be checking his work out again. I'm literally not even faintly interested anymore in what a brain like that creates.

If he's concerned with being labeled anti-vaxx he should stop appearing at RFK Jr rallies.

Hmm. Yeah. Sad. I was just on a deep ja kick a few years ago and his music got me through a few things. I'll always appriciate that,  but now, too bad he's lost it.

No shit. He's claiming to not be anti-vax, but I very clearly remember him promoting some loud and proud anti-vaxxers throughout COVID. So even if he was narrowing his focus, that's not how it came off in the long run. If you support anti-vaxxers, doesn't that make you an anti-vaxxer too, at least in part?? I don't really get how in the world he thought he'd get away with that shit with his career still intact.

It's literally the core of RFK Jr's activism. I can understand not sharing the views of everyone you share a stage with, but you need to scrutinize the *organizer/host* of an event. If you're concerned about how people label your views anyway.

Anti-vaccination folks are bringing back some old diseases that were previously wiped out. Idiots.

Polio is a serious disease that is resurfacing because of people avoiding vaccinations.

I can't be friends with people who choose to be ignorant when presented with facts.  Yeah, maybe some people just don't know things but there's this group of people who willfully embrace nonsense.

From the little bit I know of him as an obsessed fan for a few years. He always seemed dangerous (to himself) caring to others and very talented guitarist +.
Too bad he has chosen this oddball stuff to go off on.
