Almost 0% chance of back to back summers in Europe.  2024 or 2025 are almost certain, though.

I can’t remember the details but wasn’t there a decent lead on South America shows/festivals?  Maybe those are the spring tour?  I’d much prefer the 15 show New England tour (I’m kidding, I’d be fine with 10 shows), but it would be cool if they hit South America first.

I'm putting a lot of hope into the "almost 0%" 😉 But I'm also a realist. The only thing that would lure them to Europe next summer is a smaller tour around the cancelled cities.

The European tours are usually anchored around a number of festivals, and festivals don’t bring headliners in back-to-back years.  I doubt PJ goes to Europe just to do their own shows while skipping the festivals they always play at.  2024 or 2025 like someone else mentioned above seems more likely for Europe.

I thought South America would be in play for spring 2023 but that seems unlikely without being on any of the Lollapalooza lineups.

Oh I didn’t check the lineups.  That makes sense it’s probably doubtful down there then.  A few months back I think there was some leaked venue lineup for some festival in like Chile or Brazil and it had PJ on it.  Must have been fake news.

I miss the days of Dimi hints!

Lollapalooza in SA makes sense if the statement about Matt holds true. The festival paydays are too big for them to ignore. Where they go after that is a total crapshoot. If there are US dates, they will be back to the Northeast  =)

Lolla SA lineups already announced.  Any other festivals in SA they could headline?

So much for that theory. Hmm. Interesting. Could they really be doing arenas in the Spring after playing in the fall?? That would be great.

Maybe the costs / troubles / insurance expenses are still too high at the moment to do huge tours in AUS or South America…. Would be my only guess as to why it’s not happening this year

My sense is the this killer US tour was a lead up to a US Stadium Tour next year. They could have done multiple nights in many markets; but opted for one arena show. Ticket resale prices were crazy. Setlists were crazy. This all builds up demand for the band which will support a 2023 Stadium Run. Touring is more expensive now. Another more extensive
stadium run makes sense for them at this point in their careers.
I would disagree with this.  They can play ballparks in Boston, NYC, Chicago, Philly, and Seattle.  Every other market is an Arena at the most.

Even for the Fenway shows in 2018, tickets weren't THAT hard to come by near the date of the show

As crazy as resale was for NYC and Philly, the total opposite was true for the California and other spring shows.  There was also plenty of tickets available the week of for most of the fall shows this year.

Fenway in 2018 is not a great barometer. They played Sunday and Tuesday around Labor Day. Tons of people on here talked about not being able to go to the Tuesday show because of school starting. Move those shows a week earlier, and it's probably a different situation.

"I'm a lucky man, to count on both hands the [shows I've done]. Some folks just have one, others they got none..."

what do I know but if I was them I would want to stay close to home at this point, meaning USA and Canada. Traveling abroad seems like too much work at this point in their career. Just my opinion of course.

This might be a hot take...or not.

We know (safe assumption?) that the band is deep into the process of a new album.

What if... we get an album in late February or maybe March with a US tour right away like how 2020 was supposed to be?

Would be cool!  Seems like a lot to hope for though.  Prob more realistic to think about another album in 2024.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

Still have my fingers crossed.  They did it in 2006 / 2007 and again in 2009/10
