With regards to the protesters.... Wow. Just wow. Obviously I don't agree with everything a lot of these morons are doing but what I found somewhat hilarious are the two male protesters against the 'fake news' and threatening the media. I don’t really want to comment on how they identify (it’s entirely possible they see themselves as being well (overly?) endowed), but I do strongly feel that the attire was inappropriate, especially given stories of students being sent home while similarly dressed. I honestly can’t recall any of my public school teachers showing up dressed like that.
(Again, how they identify is not the issue here for me, it’s the fashion choices in a professional setting that troubles me. To this point I haven’t really commented in part because I don’t have kids at all, but if I did I admit this would trouble me to some degree. I have no problem with them dressing like that in their personal time (like the picture where they were skydiving that was circulating).)

Today I saw a headline that a “professional standard” is being drawn up that will include a dress code.
I don’t really want to comment on how they identify (it’s entirely possible they see themselves as being well (overly?) endowed), but I do strongly feel that the attire was inappropriate, especially given stories of students being sent home while similarly dressed. I honestly can’t recall any of my public school teachers showing up dressed like that.
(Again, how they identify is not the issue here for me, it’s the fashion choices in a professional setting that troubles me. To this point I haven’t really commented in part because I don’t have kids at all, but if I did I admit this would trouble me to some degree. I have no problem with them dressing like that in their personal time (like the picture where they were skydiving that was circulating).)

Lots to unpack with this one. The back story here is that there is a transgender shop teacher at a high school in Oakville who either used or is still using very, very, very large prosthetic breasts during classes.
I'm not 100% sure what to think about the teacher at this point. I would love to get her point of view and what not, but that's none of my business in many ways. My opinion here is that the teacher really really really ought to have known that this choice of hers would cause great disruption and distraction to the school and the teachers. Transgender or not... that's just a stupid decision by a person of influence.
That said... as we usher in an age of tolerance and acceptance we do in many ways need to get used to this. As we navigate what's 'acceptable' we should be open to denying certain rights and freedoms as I've pointed out before. Where this falls... I don't think we know yet. But I do know that if a teacher... gay, straight, male, female, trans were to attempt to run a classroom in their underwear... that would not be accepted. Why is that? It's possible that when we debate the rationale behind that point, we might find similar rationale in arguing that a trans person should not be wearing those massive breasts in class. I don't know if that makes me sounds like an asshole... happy to receive feedback.
With regards to the protesters.... Wow. Just wow. Obviously I don't agree with everything a lot of these morons are doing but what I found somewhat hilarious are the two male protesters against the 'fake news' and threatening the media. I hear what you’re saying about shorts but I can’t recall any teachers (female or male) wearing shorts in the classroom (PE being the obvious exception, lol). Again, my age is showing I suspect, lol.
I was avoiding commenting on whether or not they’re attractive simply because while I don’t find them desirable, I honestly hope for their sake (and I believe this to be a truth) that someone out there does find them appealing. One person’s trash is another’s gold, after all.

Everything I’ve read has indicated they’re prosthetics not implants (which makes no difference to me ultimately, but I can see where that might change one’s thinking).

Homelessness is rising daily and social services have been crippled, but hey lets spend more money on policing and war machines! Depressing and illogical policies can be found in the news weekly, which is the opposite of good.

Yah that one is annoying. I think they need to rename the defund the police thing. It's not that we don't need police, but police are now being tasked to do jobs they shouldn't be doing. IE dealing with drug addicts, homeless, etc... If you brought those supports back with professional designed to help people with those problems, it should reduce pressure on the police, which might require lower budgets. Maybe someone needs to come up with a better name for it.
I don't feel it's the police's fault either. I've talked to a few retired cops, and when they compare what's going on today, to how things were when they were working, they're not sure they would of signed up for it.
Sad day in the local political landscape as a legend has passed. Agree or disagree with her, I don't know of anyone that didn't respect her, she'll be missed here in the GTA.

This is reason 98 why I don't like and won't vote for Pierre. When asked about his thoughts on the F-Trudeau flags his response is that he doesn't like them and he doesn't like rage. OK, very nice. Good to hear! But then he pivots the answer to basically again blame Trudeau and the Liberals for our failing country. Doh.
First off... if you don't like the flags and you don't like the rage.. then your response to that question as a potential leader of our country is to suggest to all of those who are doing it... to remove them. Much like O'Toole had the courage to do. Nope. Instead... after condemning it, he then makes excuses for it.

He says "They're hurting" and goes on to talk about the millions of Canadians who need a food bank.
