Is there an inner circle of elitist PJ collectors?

As everyone know, the dam has broken within an inner circle of KISS hoarders that for decades have kept things from the rest of the fan base. Several videos of KISS from the 70s that the world has never seen, has recently been leaked/freed onto youtube by someone being disgruntled within this circle. Live videos of their favorite band from their peak that people didn't know existed that now is available. I would imagine Mike McCready, Matt Cameron and Jeff Ament are having watching parties every night back at the hotel.

Is there a similar thing within the PJ community? Of hoardes keeping things from the community at large? Are there any mythological holy grail things from Pearl Jam's past that should exist, but has not been made available? Some audience boot from some show? Or who knows - a secret soundboard of Copenhagen 2007?

    Was just typing up the same response. Though there’s that guy that has a bunch of Dave A. tapes he bought from a storage unit sale (?) that haven’t been completely put out into the open.

    This absolutely exists in the PJ world. The 95 tour documentary was extremely hard to get for a long time. On the 2000 tour, I met some guys before a show and smoked weed in their van and they played me Fatal and Sad years before they were released. When I asked them how they got them, they wouldn't tell me and when I asked if I could get a copy they said no.

    Paraphrasing from what I remember but this story has been printed out there.

    So there was a guy in Florida that met EV at a bar and after hearing that he had a recording studio they went there and recorded stuff.  It was understood that the recordings couldn't get leaked out.

    EV went a few times and recorded a few times.  The person made copies and friends got them, close friends, whom also made copies.  It got back to PJ camp and when the person tried to reach EV's personal line or what not he would not pick up.

    That bond was broken and never did EV come around again...

    So I am sure there is more of this.

    I'm way down the chain but I got sent some things that no one else had and not a big deal because everyone has seen them now.

    Unless you're personal friends with someone in the band or their camp and promised to never release or make public something that they gave you, I can't imagine being such a weirdo that you'd hoard all of these old bootlegs or videos to yourself.  But I have no doubt that there are elitist, snobby PJ fans in existence.
