    Japan – Oil On Canvas = オイル・オン・キャンヴァス

    Label:Virgin – VIP-6~7
    Series:The World Of British Power
    Format:
2 x Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, Gatefold
    Country:Japan
    Released:Jun 5, 1983
    Genre:Electronic
    Style:Synth-popAmbient

Whoa!  This caught my eye right now!  This is a terrific album and certainly one you don't hear about very often.
In general, I'm not a big synth fan, but in the early 80's, on a whim I bought one of the earlier Japan albums and got hooked very quickly and eventually got almost all their (and David Sylvian's solo) stuff.  So cool that you have this!
Yes. There really isn't another band quite like Japan. Wish I could have seen them live, but this record will have to do.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2

Yeah same here!  Would also have loved to have seen David Sylvian after Japan broke up.  I really like his solo work.

For some reason I’ve developed a strong affection for mono pressings, lol.

Got to see and meet Patti at a book signing. Her performance with an acoustic player was intimate and magical.
