Post Malone is a pretty big deal for much of the music listening world. Dude’s got individual songs with BILLIONS of listens on Spotify. Individual songs on one streaming service. Billions. You might not like it but if your only reaction to a pop singer far bigger than your favorite band covering your favorite band is “this is terrible,” you might be older than you think. I didn’t listen to it but one of the nicest dudes in the business. and he’s massive. He’s headlining any festival he wants the past few years. Cool to see him showing more love to the Seattle scene.0

Having billions of listens doesn't mean you get a pass though. People here crap on Pearl Jam's cover of Last Kiss and it's a thousand times better. As long as he can bring those billions of listeners over here. I'm happy with that.vant0037 said:Post Malone is a pretty big deal for much of the music listening world. I thought it was good. At least he sung it with some passion.0

No but it does mean he’s relevant musically. For fans of a band that was once far more relevant, it just seems odd that Post Malone covering our beloved PJ should offend us so. Really? One of the biggest pop stars on the planet for a while now covers your favorite band and all we can say is “meh. He sounds bad.”? Again, just makes a lot of us sound very old and out of touch.igotid88 said:

It's odd that you equate a negative review / opinion with someone being offended.

I didn't really care for it, but I enjoyed the story he told about how it reminded him of driving around with his brother in Hawaii. So many memories seem to be wrapped up in the music we were listening to when they happened. I think that is why music, out of all of the arts, seems to invoke stronger feelings for me.0

Better drench that man’s voice in vocal effects. I’m sure he’s a talented artist, but bare bones vocal performance… nah.Happy if it gets more ears on the original though.0
