Thinking of my Dad, who passed away 18 (how is that right?) years ago this month.
My wife and I are in the midst of both IVF and adoption...prayers/vibes/etc are MORE than welcome.
Mom is dealing with after effects of her lung surgery..so happy that we're close so we can help.
Not all doom & gloom around here---just feels like a lot of things going on at once. I am writing more & playing guitar more,,,and that's definitely helped. Just feeling a tad overwhelmed these days, I think. Hope this finds you all well.
yeah, because of my dad's heart attack, and his and my mom's covid, our trip to seattle to see Jerry Cantrell is likely going to be cancelled. I've never sold tickets on stub hub before. Hope I can recoup that part of the cost.

I remember you offered me a sympathetic ear for the IVF/adoption in a thread earlier this year, so I'll reciprocate that to you. I know what you're dealing with and it can definitely be overwhelming. they are, thanks GG! and my sister stepped up and said she'd take the girls for the trip. so the trip is back on! (or, it was, until about 10 minutes ago when my wife told me she has a sore throat and now the sniffles!! noooo!!!! this trip is doomed! LOL)

Too much complaining and moaning. As someone who has been the luckiest fan to have had my life changed so many times by live experiences it pains my heart i would give anything to go and feel that again for 1 song or 30 i dont care. Health now stops me . So before anyone moans or complains there are 1000s of us who won't get to go again. Just enjoy your time however long or short it maybe. Life is so short and moving faster than ever. Slow down. Smell the flowers and breathe in the experience. You will one day look back at a moment or song you were at and cry your eyes out with gratitude.

My kids at home, my kids' friends, the kids on the teams I coach, the kids on the teams we play against, all the amazing kids I see and interact with nearly every day, and how very little the US government cares to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which all those kids can relax, learn, and flourish.
I was just coming here to post something along the same lines, dankind. you said it so much better than I would have. I was literally crying a few minutes ago reading a young woman's tribute to her slain mother (teacher) from Texas. Just heart wrenching.
