Lol they denied everyone for the London event. Everything I was reading is that it was expected they’d get that one and be denied for Portland. This is gonna be awesome

Would think they would have to be consistent in what they do.  Will be interesting.  If the players are independent contractors then they should be able to have the ability to control where and when they play.

Didn't see that coming.  This is great!  Nice article here by Rosenberg.  These 2 paragraphs sum it up nicely...

But here, again, is the truth: The players are the PGA Tour. What’s bad for the Tour is bad for the players. And the PGA Tour never said players can’t play for the Saudi-backed Tour. It just said they have to choose. That is the Tour’s right, and if it was such an outlandish position, then why do Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas and others support it? Are they anti-golfer, too?

The Tour has large television contracts that fund the tournaments that make the players wealthy. It is reasonable to ask players who benefit from those contracts to play exclusively on the Tour unless they get a waiver.

Can't believe he dropped out.  Maybe he'll feel more comfortable facing the media at first LIV golf event in June.  Crazy.

Yeah the course looks incredible.  Good article in Golf Digest this month on the renovation.  PGA Championship always goes all in with these super groups.  Tiger, Rory and Spieth to get started this morning.

Spieth's new swing/pre swing routine is not very easy on the eyes.

Oh man that is tough to watch.  It's like he's doing a pump fake before every swing.  But it has obviously been working for him so don't see it going away anytime soon.

Does he do a Charles Barkley type approach?

Would you sign my petition to allow Tiger to use a golf cart?

Watching Tiger today and he looks like he should withdraw. Can’t get through the ball.  And yet still made the cut.  Amazing.

I haven’t seen any of this really. Few hours Friday. An hour this morning. Course looks amazing, leaderboard…not so much

Yeah, Leaderboard is a little dull.  Seems like the star golfers need easy courses to shine.

One of my first thoughts watching some of this course on tv was why does Torrey Pines even get an annual tour stop, let alone a major.

Anyone find it strange watching the PGA and they’re wearing sweaters and long sleeves? I’ll always remember the PGA as the most sweltering of the majors.

I might rather have NO sponsors than wear a Dude Wipes shirt. not exactly sure what those are but I think I have an idea.

Craziness.  One rotation on his putt on 17 and he has a two shot lead.  Now he is out of the tourney.

He may never again be in position to win a major.

Glad to see Will Z. lose.  Think he is a little cocky in how he declares himself built for majors.  Well, win a major first.  Or any tour event for that matter.  Great player no doubt.

I had money on Zalatoris. Bet him to win following the first round. Would've been a nice payout, but he didn't deserve to win. Pereira did his best to try and give it away to him, but Thomas came and took it. Good win for him. Bad loss for Zalatoris and Pereira.

This was a tournament where someone won because at the end of the day someone has to win.  Justin went out there and took it in the playoff but nobody on the leaderboard was doing anything on Sunday.  Justin taking it would have meant shooting five or six under instead of the leaders coming back to him.

They had some good debates on Golf Channel Live From this week.  One was why the hell there is no dominant player anymore.

Well he's not wrong.  5 top 10 finishes in 8 career majors is pretty crazy.  He'll get one soon.
