anyone watching the newer episodes without Joe? They're ok, still not the same. Some episodes better/funnier than others. Not sure about the guest stars though, again some are better than others. They don't use them as much as I thought they would.

anyone watching the newer episodes without Joe? They're ok, still not the same. Some episodes better/funnier than others. Not sure about the guest stars though, again some are better than others. They don't use them as much as I thought they would.
I’m not enjoying them at all. Not funny anymore. I didn’t think it would be this different without Joe. And the punishments have been awful. The punishments are not funny and are like a cheap soft core jackass rip off.
My girlfriend and I went to the American Dream mall in Jersey yesterday. We were going to the indoor water park there.
The park didn’t open until 1:00, so our plan was to get there early and explore the mall for a bit. As we were walking through this one central part of the mall, I tap my gf an say “hey doesn’t that kind of look like Casey Jost, the guy that does the behind the scenes stuff for the Jokers?” And she says “Holy shit it is!” Then we realize he has an earpiece in and is talking to other people with earpieces in. Then we look around and notice that people are up on ladders setting up cameras on the ceiling.
So at this point we’re 100% sure of what’s happening and freaking out a bit. We go up to the 3rd floor to get a better view and notice that they are setting up some kind of mobile barista cart. Then Murr comes out for a minute with another crew member to scope the place out.
Finally we decide it’s time to head to the water park, as we already bought the tickets online and didn’t want to waste too much of the day away waiting for something to happen. Once we’re back down on the 1st floor we realize we are basically brushing shoulders with Q. We try not to freak out and step away a little bit. Then we see him go through a door, likely where they are hiding out for the day.
So we sit in some chairs maybe 100 feet or so from where he went into that room and this woman approaches us and says something along the lines of “Hey guys! You’re not in trouble or anything but we know that you know. You can stay where you are but just don’t do anything obvious like point or hold your phone up to film things.” We said of course and hung out for a bit more, eventually noticing Sal walk into the same door.
Then we decided we’d wasted to much time and had to hit the water park. We had a blast there until it closed at 7:00. We headed back to the area with the barista cart and see that it’s gone, so we figure they’re done for the day. But then we notice within 10 feet or so of us is once again Q, holding a coffee cup and just kind of wondering around aimlessly. We went back to the 3rd floor for a bird’s eye view and watched him do that for about 10 minutes or so. Then some of the crew starting high fiving each other so we figured they wrapped up.
It was a super cool experience to see some of the behind the scenes action. There were SO MANY people walking around with earpieces in. And it would have been so easy to just go about our day and never have noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Not the same without joe. The bits are awful. The punishments aren’t great. The guest host is useless since they only really appear during the punishment.
OK, last night was the best post-Joe episode. Props to Brooke Shields, best guest they've had to date, and she participated in a challenge. The actual punishment was anti-climactic, but what lead up to it was funny. And the QAnon shaman kid in the fashion show was hilarious.

yeah that was one of the better ones, IMO. I laughed a lot.
Worst ones IMO were the ones with Jillian Bell and the two dudes from that new show on truTV.

Saw ads for Joe doing a live solo comedy tour. If he can do that, don't know why he felt the need to leave IJ. Unless it really wasnt about being a better co-parent and focusing on his kids.

Yeah, I don't buy the story behind him leaving frankly. If it was about spending time with the kids, he could still film the show in and around NYC. Most other fathers go to work on a daily basis. He could have eliminated touring from his deal with the Jokers. Instead he is touring but not doing the show. Doesn't add up.

Past two episodes have been pretty bad, especially last week's with John Mayer. He was ok but they only had one challenge and the punishment wasn't that great. Last night's was ok. Punishment sucked and the only thing that was good was seeing MJF helping out ion a challenge and being MJF.

Guest stars basically just get involved in punishments.
It's about 4% of what it used to be after losing 25% of the cast.
