    Joe's leaving the Jokers.

    Hey, Everyone.

Sorry in advance for the long and more-serious-than-usual note below, I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical Jokers.

Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.

Outside of my family, my relationships with Murr, Q and Sal have been the most important in my life. I know they will continue to make the world laugh. And even though the four of us are the ones who you all see, this show is only possible due to the hard work of the talented crew members who work behind the scenes. I am very thankful to have worked with each and every one of them.

To all of the amazing fans, thank you for allowing me to make you laugh with Jokers. They say that laughter is the best medicine, and I hope I’ve been able to provide some of that over the last decade. Seeing you laugh has been my own medicine, particularly in these weird and difficult times we find ourselves.

As I work through the challenges I am facing, I hope to and am excited to create new ways to entertain you.

    Much love,
    Joe

I saw this this morning. Sucks but glad it's on good terms and hope all turns out well. Joe is great, I'm thinking he probably hopefully returns eventually

I can't really picture what's in the future for the show. Do they go on without him? I can't really see them replacing him. Maybe for a few episodes (like a fill in for a few times).

he would be the most logical replacement if they were to go that route and i'd actually be ok with that. Not sure who else they could replace him with. Rob Emmer? Bryan Johnson? Jameela Jamil? Casey Joust?

Why replace him?  They can do it all on their own.

He could write skits for them still.

    Don't add anyone new.

A bunch of their routines require 4 members, the ones where they compete head to head, so only having 3 would require a major shift in how they do things.

They can do it.  They have the talent.

I am actually surprised that they can still get away w things considering they are well known.

They are known by their fans but the show airs on TruTV and at best gets1.5M-2M viewers. That's lots of folks who have no clue who they are.
Certainly they get recognized more now than in the early days (sometimes they include it on the show), but in general they can still function with some level of anonymity.

I can see Joe returning at some point. Leaving to be with his family is noble, certainly, but I don't understand why this needs to be a permanent move. I know many who have balanced co-parenting and working effectively and efficiently. Of course Joe has every right and the luxury that many do not. I believe he involved himself heavily with editing and post-production. Perhaps take a step back from that and simply show up on shoot days.

I get the impression that there's more going on than just needing to spend more time with the kids, but who knows?
He could cut out the traveling/personal appearances/solo comedy gigs and still film the show around the NYC area and have plenty of time to be with his kids. So, I think there's stuff that's not being talked about.

I thought that too. But at the same time he has the money to set himself, his kids, ex-wife and future wife up for life. So why not take the time off if he wants it? Kids are only little once, don’t get a second chance at raising them.

I wonder if they will have a lot more guests. Maybe Joey Fatone as a frequent guest? Half their routines require 4 people, so either the format will change a lot of they need a 4th.

Yep. Promo ad revealed guests such as Colin Jost, David Cross, Method Man, Chris Jericho, Adam Pally, and more.
