The Official 2023 Tour Rumor Thread

So what do we have? I'd be surprised if any more shows are announced for 2022. Maybe, maybe, the Apollo show will happen again, but since that was such a mess to get tickets, who the hell knows.

IIRC, they've never played anywhere in January. They typically like to tour warm weather.

Chile in March. If it happens, I'm sure South America will be a mix of festivals and stand-alone shows.

Now apparently we have Brazil in March.

I have no solid leads, but I'm sure North America is 99.999% going to happen somehow, some way. It's common sense with Gigaton and all that. There's a ton of missed area and usual cities. The whole area of Pittsburgh up to Milwaukee is currently getting nothing. There's nada for the Pacific Northwest, Georgia, Florida, DC, etc.

European summer 2023???

There was that article about the next album being faster to release than Gigaton was with Lightning Bolt after Backspacer.

Hoping for some Midwest love (outside of the obvious Chicago gig/gigs). It will be 10 years since Milwaukee, Mps/St. Paul, Detroit, anywhere in Ohio, etc has been played.

Ohio got fairly consistent love...up until October 2, 2014...the day after the Cincinnati show and nothing since then.

Agreed. Perhaps Camden is a test run for all we know.

Shorter people are definitely happier at sheds since it's all on an incline.

Wouldn’t be surprised to have another set of European shows in June time. Quite a few places here were missed this tour (eg Spain, Portugal). They seem to like playing here in June.

Maybe a 30th anniversary show since the last show in Finland?

I would guess they want to tour Gigaton in Seattle, so maybe Seattle and other cities in Northwest North America, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Calgary?

They one offed Seattle in 2002 and 2018 had no other pnw attached (well Montana being the closest).  With California covered this year. I wonder if they'd standalone Seattle, or play a few days in the surround areas...

My prediction- they play only a single show in 2023, at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island. The show will be on 4/30/23, to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of the infamous 4/30/03 show. The band comes on stage and opens with Bushleaguer. Then during the outro, as it sounds like the song is about to end, the band kicks it into high gear and extends the song for another 2 1/2 hours. Then the band walks offstage and they all have a good laugh. 🤣🤣🤣

I don't love the TD Garden, but would prefer see them there then Fenway or Mansfield.

This is a completely uninformed guess but, if the band is prioritizing their health, their families, trying to make records a bit more often (Jeff is the only one who has mentioned that) and other various projects, as well as taking into consideration that they're all getting older, I would guess more on the side of fewer shows/fewer extended tours. AU/South America/Europe/States is kind of a lot and I think they're maybe past the point of spending 2/3 of a year on the road.
