that sucks and I assume there are many in a similar boat. I wish there was more consideration for this considering they are touring less and now people are traveling. 

If your dates are due 2/28, we can be sure the announcement will be on 3/1.

I disagree with this. In the fall, life was much more "normal" in North America, and specifically here in Canada. All of our venues were at 100% and our land borders with the states opened (in early November). The first cases of Omicron didn't pop up until early December. At the time, I think booking a venue for the Spring time looked very safe.

In mid-November, they announced they were "working to finalize dates". At that time, Delta was peaking (had peaked?) and there were rumblings of Omicron on the horizon. It would not surprise me if they had tentative dates in Canada that they then nixed.

Something else to think about - they're targeting May for this reschedule, and they're not going to play every night, or even every other night. 17 shows (before the Baltimore cancellation) in 31 days is not going to work for them. Logically, it seems to make sense that they could play May 1st in Toronto, May 3rd in Hamilton, etc, but that's not realistic for this band at this stage of their lives/career. Others have brought up the prospect of some of the rescheduled dates occurring in the Fall. This is largely rumor, but the original announcement says the new dates should be "starting in May", it doesn't say the whole tour will be in May, so it makes some sense to divvy up the shows between May and the Fall, to make things easier on the band overall.

I know, the worry is that a new strain will crop up and throw a spiky-proteined wrench into things,there's nothing saying that won't happen this May (though numbers are down, and things are looking hopeful). I'd rather the band spread out the shows so that they are at their best for each show they perform and run the risk of a Fall leg being postponed.

The original dates were March 18 - April 19, 2020 so they could play these shows in May/early June.

And if they did half in May and half in the fall there’s no way the split these dates without adding others.

The Europe tour is 17 shows in 38 days.

The original 2020 tour was 17 shows in 33 days. 

From May 1st to June 8th is 39 days and they only have 15 (paid ticket) shows to reschedule. So either they play the delayed shows and book all new dates in the fall or the split the dates and and add like 5/6 new shows each leg. I’m hoping they do the former. 

Especially since if MSG/Canada is fall then the added dates this spring will probably be west coast which has had multiple shows since the 2020 dates were delayed. 

Geographically the 2020 spring tour was a mess compared to PJ tours in the past. I can see why they would want to do something that is much easier. As a fan that has held tickets for over 2 years however I would want my shows to come first of course. It is looking more and more likely that will not be the case. 

The question I have now is if they are splitting up the rescheduled dates and sprinkling new ones in how is the lotto going to work. If we only get a handful of shows added this spring and they are on their own lotto that will be a hard ticket to get. If they put all of the new shows together in the same lotto no matter what leg they are on then that might be more fair but now if you add a MSG lets say to the mix you are likely screwed for any other spring show. We will cross that bridge when it comes I guess but I plan on doing what I did with my choice going to Ohana last year. If they are playing in NA I will do all I can to be at that tour. 

The real question is, if they split up the rescheduled 2020 dates between May and a Fall leg, and add new shows to the May leg, how long before this thread goes nuclear?
