Have listened through twice now and can't wait to keep digging into it. It's really good. I honestly don't know how they keep defying odds and put out such great albums.
Was hoping to have the vinyl sooner and make that my first listen (ordered variant directly from the band), but it won't arrive until next week. Such is life.

I attended the University of Texas at Austin at the same time as Britt Daniel, the lead singer and major force behind Spoon. We both started there in the fall semester of 1989, and he lived in the Castilian dormitory at the same time as several of my high school buddies. Britt and I apparently frequented some of the same places too (besides Castilian), such as Inner Sanctum Records and the Hole in the Wall. There's no telling how many times I was standing near or walked past Britt on or off the university campus. I wish I could have befriended him back in the day, but perhaps he would have found me too ordinary to tolerate. Anyway, I think I'm going to dive into Spoon's discography more than before and possibly buy a couple of their records on vinyl. I seriously doubt I'll be disappointed. Cheers!0

Personally, my favorite era of the band was Gimme Fiction through Transference. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, despite the name, is a fantastic album.
