People get all riled up about other people wearing masks alone in their cars. I mean, it's not for me but you do you.

Why anyone would care if I wear shorts in my house and have to run to shop rite for bread and just throw a cost on since I'm not a candy ass and can take a few steps of cold is beyond me.
That someone would be angered by it is fucking hilarious.

Does it matter if I wear a coat?  I do when it is 15 but not when it is 45-50.
Some people wear hats and shit.

I'd like someone to try and punch me for wearing shorts.

    you wear shorts when it's under 35 degrees?  sorry that's a punch-able violation :)

If I'm only going out for a bit...sure.
Like I said, I'm not a candy ass.
This might turn out differently than the person throwing the punch might think

Wait so are in shorts at home and just go out or do you put shorts on to go out?  Either way makes no sense to me

and I just knew when I posted my initial post that 1 or more people in this thread would defend wearing shorts in below freezing temperatures

    Yes, grew up in VT.

I went a year during this covid shit where I only wore long pants when I shoveled snow.  Otherwise I stayed in shorts the whole time.  Way more comfortable.
Zoom meetings are good for that, put in nice shirts every day and even a coat on, on a few occasions.  With shorts.

And, yes, in the scenario described I would be in shorts inside my home and run out to the store.  I personally  see no reason to change clothes to do this.  Surprised it would offend anyone to the point where they are angry.  Could totally understand someone thinking I'm an idiot, and I'm 100% good with that.  I'm sure I've judged people for similarly stupid reasons.
(Never punched them for it, though. )

Now, I'm in the office 4-5 days per week and have to abandon my shorts only policy.  🙃

so wearing weather appropriate clothing makes someone a candy ass.  lots of us candy asses in the world then :)

and i'm not really advocating you get punched in the face  for it although I admit it does annoy me.

and don't even get me started on people backing into parking spaces at Wawa.  If you do that and are in shorts...oh boy :)

For sure, we agree that there are lots of candy asses in the world.

To Dankind's point, I am on my way out the door right now to run.  My phone tells me it feels like 12 degrees

the day of the rose bowl, it was 12 degrees here in SLC…..I made a beer run and saw a guy strolling into the store in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. it was the flip flops that really blew my mind.

Classy sign off by Mr. Gardner last night. I think Rick Williams is a logical replacement too.

It's not like I watch the local news every night anymore but it will definitely be weird a year from now when he's off the air completely. The guy's been reading the news for our entire lives!

Absolutely. Also often it's easier to maneuver your vehicle going backwards into a space.

Backing into a spot makes sense from a litigious standpoint, otherwise....no, go ahead and do your 3 point turn in a busy grocery parking lot ya freaks.

Yeah this is a pretty quick, visual, and concise way of arguing against voting for Lamb:

There would have to be a fairly odd series of events for me to vote for Lamb.

I mean, as far as I can tell, voting against his party contributed to his almost losing reelection in 2020. Contrast with progressive firebrand Katie Porter, in a CA purple district, who actually expanded her margin of victory from 2018 to 2020.

To the mods: I know we are talking politics but these are local issues to Philly and Pennsylvania and we don't want to put up with the trolls that roam around A Moving Train.

Katie Porter is a rock star.  I love when she gets out her chalkboard and takes down these big company executives.

and Jeff Ament is going to be Preston and Steve tomorrow.  I think it said at 10:00.  I imagine to talk about this Afghanistan campaign but hopefully at least a hint at what is going on with tour.

(knock on wood, and fingers crossed)The mods have always been pretty good with those of us who hash it out in this space, and for that I'm grateful that they "get it", at least presumably.

Matt Cameron had some promising stuff on future PJ music, talking in one of those quick PJ Radio things - we're expanding our instrumentation, stuff like that.
