    Yea, I thought about them. I know Stevie and Christine McVie did a lot, but so did Lindsey Buckingham so that is why I pretty much left them off the list.
    yeah, if the Mac is on here, I don't know how it wouldn't be a landslide (haha, get it?).  Seriously though, they have an argument for the biggest band of the 70s.  Much more accessible and pop than Zep, Floyd, etc. Everyone listened to them.

    I think you're going to have to cough up the long list this time, MedozK. Give us a list of every female band, every genre, every country...so we know that you were thorough in your consideration. Thank you in advance.

    Only problem is, this forum format only allows so many options for poll.  And MK's knowledge of music is about as vast as anyone we've seen on these forums.

    I will say though, for fun it would have been interesting to include the often unjustly maligned The Shaggs.  Rolling Stone described them as sounding like "lobotomized Trapp Family singers".  Years later, they  "rediscovered" by Frank Zappa and others who saw their music as being far more complex with "melodic lines and structures to the freed jazz compositions of Ornette Coleman".  Interesting stuff worth checking out!

    I've been feeling shitty lately, so I've been sticking with my comfort bands/artists lately. Today, it's Tori Amos. Maybe when I feel more experimental I will give them a try.  :)

    Ohhh I so get it!  Comfort music is so darned important at times!!!
