    I didn’t know they were Swedish.  Love Fool was their hit over here. I assumed they were a one hit wonder. 
    They really evolved from that. If you listen to their later albums before breaking up... or stopping at least. 

    Nina Persson did some solo stuff afterwards under the namn "A camp", like this Neil Young coveeeeeeeer.

    Just listened to Misery Business again and I dig it.  Yes, there is a woman singing....yes, she is singing about revenge on another chick.  If you take out the singing and just listen to the music?
    (I like the singing ...that gal can sing the shit out of it, she has go be in the top tier of voices I like.). 

    That music is badass. 
    It rocks.
      I can easily say I like the music from Misery Business more than almost every song on Gigaton, as much as I love Pearl Jam.  

    S'ok, different strokes for different folks.

    I would not include Fleetwood Mac because they started out as an all male band led by Peter Green and later led by Mick Fleetwood.
    Jefferson Airplane was started by Marty Balin and Paul Kantner and had two female singers, Signe Toly Anderson and Gace Slick, both of whom were considered co-lead singers with Balin, so it would be a stretch to refer to them as a female led band.
    Two "all-girl" bands, The Bangles and Go Go's would for sure fit the category.

    I will say though, for fun it would have been interesting to include the often unjustly maligned The Shaggs.  Rolling Stone described them as sounding like "lobotomized Trapp Family singers".  Years later, they  "rediscovered" by Frank Zappa and others who saw their music as being far more complex with "melodic lines and structures to the freed jazz compositions of Ornette Coleman".  Interesting stuff worth checking out!

    Oh I loved the sounds! Saw them at a festival in Germany 15 years ago or so

    Gigaton is a steamy pile to me as well as Misery business...  That era of pop punk metal, whatever you call it was not my thing at all.  I went two ways, harder and indy.  Bands like LCD, Matt & Kim, Dillinger, Killswitch were on heavy rotation.  That whole EMO movement was just bad to me.  Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects and Panic at the Disco being the outliers for me.  Those bands moved the needle.

    You mention the music.  Some of the bands had their moments and parts of songs had awesome music.  Not everything though.

    What I'm going to love about this poll is that the Pretenders are destined to win.  First, they're awesome.  Second, Chrissy is from Cleveland.  Third, and most importantly, she is literally the female Tom Petty, who is fresh off his US win.  Perfect transition by Kev.
