I laughed at the price.  I'm not paying that for Eddie and The Earthlings unless I know where my seats are.  Wouldn't mind paying double if I'm buying great seats.  For below average?  Yeahhhhh.
Will see as it gets closer if I can StubHub.  If they are still blocking ticket snobs I'll probably sit this one out.

$250 each.  Eddie would seriously hate himself.
(And, I get it, getting older, not selling any records, etc....but Jesus Fuck.  Crazy.)

Where did you see the prices?
On the TC link to Ticketmaster. They're $199 and I think $179. Then the fees and taxes are like another $40 per tick. I'm waiting to find out but the total charge that might hit my CC is like $475 total for two.

I held off on checking out the Beatles thing and yeah I'm gonna pass. The Brian Wilson thing was funny even if I vehemently disagree with you guys in that "debate."

Krasner man. It's just so damaging when he says **** like that. I mean yeah he's doing important things and some of this awful stuff that's coming out about all these innocent people locked up - he's clearly better than the old guard. But he really acts like a jackass sometimes.

I didn't see much on it until I read Nutter's op-ed last night. Hard to disagree with it.  Quite tone deaf.

Good for Nutter for calling him out.

Yeah this was the same problem I had with him in the Philly DA doc, which is super good if you haven't checked it out yet. He would go back to "the science" and all this shit in auditoriums with a buncha numbskulls and shake papers and the like. That shit ain't gonna work. Just be honest about it and don't sugar coat things - shit is bad right now for a multitude of reasons. Not as bad as the news makes it out to be and scares all the soccer moms in the 'burbs, but gun violence is exceptional. Just say that.

Also, coming back to this, I don't find former pols saying anything genuine. Don't be surprised if Nutter is running for Senate and this is him making it known.

Doesn't mean he's wrong though.  First time I am seeing the local black community come out against him like this too.

I wouldn't mind him running for senate.

How has nobody brought up Doctor Fucking Oz yet? What a fraud.

Also thought to him running again for mayor. Which, meh, in both instances I'm not overly opposed. But as of now - go Fetterman.

Oh I've talked about this Oz nonsense, so ridiculous. I just don't know see how he runs when he lives in Jersey.

I think he's claiming his in-laws house as a residence or something? And he voted by mail from that address last year? It's fucked up either way and I hope to god he gets embarrassed.

Funny to see the Trump endorsed douche suspend his campaign after losing custody of his kids. That guy's a scumbag.

It really is a backwater black hole of a state we live in once you get past the collar counties.

Looks I did not get selected for the Eddie show. Womp womp.

I will henceforth refer to him as Not a Doctor Oz.

You guys like Fetterman? He might at least have a shot at getting some of those 'tucky votes. Never shuts up about weed, but I can get past it.

Yeah, I'm going with Fetterman though I'm torn with Malcolm Kenyatta and Val Arkoosh, too. But what you said is basically why - he'll appeal to a lot of knuckle draggers in the middle of the state that sorta straddle the fence. Some of his show is tired (the weed - though I enjoy him antogonizing the state GOP with the flags - and showing his zip code tattoo on his arm), but he's smart and knows how to communicate well. Also, he's got a huge war chest and has been basically campaigning since the 2020 election ended. My biggest knock on him really was not coming out and supporting Krasner.

But also like Kenyatta and Arkoosh almost just as much. Would be fine with any of those three, but - and this sucks to say - I don't think this state can elect a Black LGBTQ person yet when it comes to Kenyatta (in a General election). This state really doesn't belong in the northeast of the country.

Fetterman's wife is also pretty hot. So, he's got that going for him.

Met her a handful of times. Very, very attractive.

Yeah I don't think Kenyatta can win, sadly. He's very young - just barely old enough to run for Senate. He's got time.

Fetterman's non-endorsement of Krasner was probably smart, especially with my man's tone deaf comments this week.

Yeah, don't think that the guy's wife's hotness won't be a factor. Voters have all sorts of ridiculous motives. She is also personable and has a feel good story.

For sure. But when you try to tout yourself as this super progressive candidate, then don't puss out when it's politically inconvenient when we're talking about probably the most progressive public servant in the state.

I googled her (it came up on the list of options as soon as I typed his name, lol)
She is a nice looking lady but what struck me of the pictures of them was how grouchy he looked in every pic.  Funny.

On a completely separate note, as if my life wasn't already hectic and busy, yours truly just accepted a position as an adjunct teaching a graduate evening course this spring at Temple.  Go Owls?

    This should be interesting.

    APPARENTLY!

Thanks, man.  They (and my professor Mom) keep telling me it's an insane amount of work upfront, so I am in for it  Looking forward to it though. Pretty cool and unique opportunity
