Ordered the vinyl. Also, not a hipster or a grandpa. Labels....so necessary for understanding, but sometimes fail big time.

I am guessing the comparison is based on both bands being experimental with wilco being more experimental than spoon?  I Iove both bands but dont compare them. I will say that lately, Britt is more entertaining than Jeff. Last couple Wilco shows felt "safe."

at some point tweedy's voice started to annoy me.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
  • Love spoon. Never could get into Wilco too much besides Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost is Born. Wilco is kind of boring at times. Spoon never bored me

The evening with Wilco tour was probably the pinnacle for that band.  Spoon can adapt to the setting, and they kill it every time.

Sucks that they aren't coming to KC, so I may have to head over to Columbia for this show. My guess is that there will be a second leg in the Fall.

Indeed! The only downside is that it's during the week during peak work season, so I need to see if it's even feasible. Would love it, though!
