It has been reported that Brandi has "offered" to front Soundgarden on tour. However, this is COS reporting, it seems more like she was asked if she would and she said she'd love to.

Maybe, as long as it's not "replacing" Chris with writing new music as Soundgarden.

I imagine such a tour would be vicky tricky to pull off for obvious reasons, but I digress....

At first I was going to vote a resounding yes, likening it to AIC sans Layne, however Cantrell was always the main songwriter anyway, so it's apples & oranges... I'm thinking gun to my head, I would vote to let sleeping dogs lie.

the other 3 contributed a LOT to the songwriting actually. I'd say it's probably about the same as Ed/PJ.

Which I almost typed as a more appropriate analogy, and no... I wouldn't want to see Pearl Jam move forward w/ a different singer if the roles were reversed.

I guess I have my answer.

(I think subconsciously I would want to support the tour regardless to stick it to you know who :D

I don't know how I'd feel about PJ moving on without Ed. As a general rule, I don't get all hung up on bands moving on without members, even lead singers; if you like the music, you like the music, a name is just that; a name.

She has the voice for sure. Not sure she has the aggression that would be necessary.  I can't quite picture her singing Birth Ritual.

Kotzen isn't trying to sound like Cornell... That's his voice. Plus he is a monster guitar player

didnt say he was trying to. but he is a sound alike.

not sure about shows necessarily but I would be up for  a new greatest hits record with a variety of women on vocals.

Taylor did great at that tribute. so did Fiona. Ann does well of course and Brandi has proved worthy. Am sure there are others who would do him justice. Toni could kill.

Hells yeah I would. Brandi absolutely nailed it at Ohana and on 'A Rooster Says'. Whether or not it's a good long term match is a different conversation, but a one-off tour w/ her as the front woman would be must-see-tv IMO.

    I would definitely go.

Also, Kim has said in interviews that he would not perform as "Soundgarden".
