First time watching them in a long time. Pulisic is good. They are athletic. They have no idea how to score

McKennie out again for tomorrow's game.  Not sure what covid protocol he violated but it sounds like it was pretty dumb.  Landon Donovan was really ripping into him.  They have to find a way to get 3 points tomorrow night.

With all the excitement about these talented young players they have, it's easy to forget that Berhalter is a garbage coach.

Wild game last night.  First half was an embarrassment....no idea what Berhalter was thinking with that lineup and formation.  Not playing Adams in central midfield is a fireable offense.  And deciding to have 4 guys make their WCQ debut on the road in Honduras was an absurd decision.  Don't know much about this Sands guy, but hard to see how he can play at this level....guy looked completely lost out there.

Thankfully Berhalter realized how badly he messed up and had 3 subs at halftime.  And Ricardo Pepi is legit!  18 years old and he completely changed the game in the 2nd half.  Not bad for his 1st cap.  So huge to get 3 points.  Anything less than a win and Berhalter's job would have been in serious jeopardy.

He got way to cute but thankfully understood his mistakes and corrected them at half time.

Hate to overreact after 1 game but we may have finally found our #9 in Pepi

Yeah just a bit.  Let's play our best central midfielder on the right side?!?!?  I've seen a lot of people giving him credit for making the halftime adjustments but these adjustments wouldn't have been needed if he didn't put that garbage lineup/formation out there in the 1st place.  I still have just about zero confidence in him.

I thought the same thing about Pepi.  That would be incredible if he steps right in to the #9 spot.

3 goals in 2 USMNT games for Pepi....not a bad start to his career!  Looks like we finally have a legit 9.

Didn't get to watch much of the game yesterday since it was right in the middle of the Bears game and then a white sox playoff game but sounds like it was pretty bad.  The starting lineup looked like an absolute joke.  I know you gotta rotate with these 3 game in 7 days international windows but Berhalter rotated 8 guys out from the last game???  Not good.  Huge game Wednesday against Costa Rica.

It turns out that playing your best players is a good strategy.  That Musah, McKennie and Adams midfield should be the midfield group for a very long time.  That goal by Dest was world class.  They're in a good spot but I still have zero confidence in Berhalter.  Even with last night's lineup the only reason Weah was in there was because Arriola got hurt in warmups.

What a joke.  Besides actual WC games, this is the biggest game the US plays every 4 years.  No pregame, no buildup at all.  Cut right in and go to kickoff.  ESPN sucks.

And yeah, this crowd is electric!!  LFG!

They may not win this game, but this team is very very good at soccer. This is the most athletic and technical team I have ever seen. Hot take probably.

The Dempsey-Donovan-Bradley teams had players but nothing like the athletic ability on the team now. Long ways to go, but its a faster game
